Bad Trip unofficially begins when "Holy Calamity (Bear Witness II)" kicks in during the opening title sequence as Chris sprints to work after being woken up by a confused plumber.
After Chris receives love advice from a random gentleman, he performs "I Saw a Girl Today" at a local mall and disturbs numerous patrons. Shortly after, "Queso" establishes a sassy vibe when Bud decides that it's a wise decision to steal his sister's car, and "I Don't Give a F***" briefly plays when Trina takes off in a police vehicle. When Chris and Bud visit the Electric Cowboy, "My Baby Likes to Rock It" plays during an expositional sequence in the 2021 movie, and "I Was Born a Rebel" accompanies a shot-drinking sequence.
"Dream Girl" can be heard when Chris imagines his ideal life with Maria, and "Booty Whop" drops when then protagonists accidentally get high and roam a grocery store.
