Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are teaming up once more in Bad Boys For Life, the third installment in the Bad Boys franchise. With the release date fast approaching, many will surely want to revisit the previous films (or watch them for the first time), but are Bad Boys and Bad Boys II on any of the three major streaming platforms? The first Bad Boys film was released in 1995 and introduced audiences to detectives Marcus Burnett (Lawrence) and Mike Lowrey (Smith). Though it didn’t do well with critics, it was a box office success, and the sequel, Bad Boys II, arrived in 2003.
After many obstacles and years trapped in pre-production, Bad Boys For Life is finally ready to see the light of day – it only took it 17 years. Directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, the film will see Burnett and Lowrey parting ways: Burnett has become a police inspector, and Lowrey is assigned to head a “young guns” group of millennial cops while he also goes through a midlife crisis. However, they will join forces one last time when a mob boss looks for revenge against them.
Many years have passed since the last time viewers saw Burnett and Lowrey in action, and it’s understandable if you haven’t watched the films in a long time, but the upcoming release of Bad Boys For Life is a good reason to revisit them. The question is: can you watch them on Netflix, Hulu, or Prime?
