The Bachelorette's Tayshia Adams and Zac Clark's split was caused by them wanting different futures. The pair met last summer while filming season 16 of the ABC reality series. Zac was initially on the show for Clare Crawley, who was the original lead, but she left after falling in love with contestant Dale Moss. After they were left with no Bachelorette, Tayshia came in and replaced Clare as the new lead of the season. While Tayhsia and Zac's connection wasn't immediately noticed, the two always had a closeness throughout the season.

Towards the end, it was evident that the two would end up together, especially after Brendan Morais decided to leave the competition early. At the final rose ceremony, Zac got down on one knee and proposed to Tayshia. After their stint on The Bachelorette, Tayshia was away from Zac as she became the host of the next season, along with Kaitlyn Bristowe. Even though they weren't together all the time, Tayshia and Zac seemed unbreakable.

An insider exclusively told Page Six that Tayshia and Zac ended their love story after realizing they weren't on the same page when it came to their future. As time went on, the former couple decided they weren't going to work out romantically. "They have very different plans for the future. It’s sad, but also a relief for both of them to finally accept that they aren’t a good match," the source revealed of the pair who had been together for more than a year before their sudden breakup. The insider added that Tayshia's "star is rising so fast," and Zac "isn’t completely comfortable with the limelight." Despite moving out of Zac's New York City pad, Tayshia plans on staying in the city.

After accepting Zac's proposal last year, the 30-year-old made the move from Orange Couty all the way to the Big Apple to be with her then-fiancée. Once they broke up, Tayshia got her own plan in the city where she plans to stay indefinitely. "She loves New York, and it’s always been her dream to live there," another source noted. One of the main reasons why the couple didn't work out is their growing careers. After filming The Bachelorette, Tayshia was offered a host position for the next seasons of the show. Zac was traveling a lot as well for business opportunities related to Release Recovery, his company that includes addiction treatment centers throughout New York. The distance definitely "took a toll" on the relationship as they started to grow apart and initially took a break from their relationship.

Both Tayhsia and Zac realized their relationship wasn't going to work out in the long haul and decided it was best to end it now. While the couple tried to make it work, not all relationships were made to last.
