Blake Moynes had a really good start on The Bachelorette season 16 with Clare Crawley, but his screen time started to dwindle when Clare left the show to be with Dale Moss and Tayshia Adams took over. Now, he's been sent home.

When Blake started on the show, he and Clare had a decent connection. Even though it is forbidden to reach out to each other before filming begins, Blake did reach out to Clare Crawley. He did so to make sure she was okay amid the coronavirus pandemic and her mother's hospitalization. Clare appreciated him asking her how she was doing, and she loved how bold his approach was.

After a fairly good start, Blake's relationship with Clare went sour fast. When Blake first walked out of the limo, Clare was taken with him, She found him sweet, cute, and charming. He seemed to be everything a woman could want from a husband. Fans got a good first impression of Blake as he revealed that he wanted a love story like the one in the film, The Notebook, according to Us Weekly. When he revealed that he was appearing on the premiere episode of the new season, he shared a photo with Clare. It featured the caption, “I have always wanted my love story to be similar to the notebook … but do I get my wish?” Sadly, Blake did not get his fairytale love story with Clare. Later in the season, he and Clare had some alone time. He leaned in for a kiss and she rejected it. While one kiss may have been rejected, he was the first guy of the season to receive an onscreen kiss, as reported by Heavy.  When Tayshia was the lead, Blake wasn't seen onscreen as much. Fans had doubts about his fate with Tayshia, and they were right to be worried. See some Blake and Tayshia memories below:

Blake was unable to make a connection with Tayshia and was sadly eliminated during his one-on-one on this week's episode. So, why did Blake strike out again this time around with Tayshia? With Clare, Blake was a clear frontrunner in the beginning, but Clare's eyes were too focused on Dale Moss. She couldn't even think about Blake. Overall, Clare seemed to be into Blake, but they didn't have the chemistry that she and Dale have. As for Tayshia, Blake wasn't as bold with her as he was with Clare. Maybe Blake still had unresolved feelings for Clare, which stopped him from developing a relationship with Tayshia.

It is already too late, as Tayshia has fallen in love with multiple men on the show, and Blake is now history.
