It was with great sadness and heavy hearts that TMZ broke the news that Gwozdz was found dead on January 22nd. Online records confirmed that the Bachelorette contestant’s body was with the Palm Beach County Medical Examiner’s Office. The reality TV star was only 29 years old. The Boca Raton Police Department reported that they had responded to a 911 call for a medical overdose on January 13th saying the reality star was taken to the hospital and admitted to the intensive care unit. The reality star was hospitalized for a week as doctors suspected an overdose where he was listed as in critical but stable condition. The police department commented saying that the case was an active and on-going investigation.

According to the 911 tapes, Gwozdz had locked himself in his bathroom with the caller saying they suspected he was using heroin. The female caller was heard breaking down the bathroom door and trying to turn him over. Gwozdz competed on the Bachelorette for Hannah Brown’s heart and won the first one-on-one date with her and ultimately received a rose.
