Clare’s time as The Bachelorette appears to be coming to an end. It started rather rocky, as filming was delayed due to quarantine. When shooting did eventually start, there were rumors the show had only shot for twelve days before Clare left to be with Dale Moss, as she saw no point in continuing when she knew in her heart she had found her "husband." Many of the men noticed Clare and Dale's connection and began to resent it. They were not getting as much time as they wanted and felt Clare was already in a relationship with Dale. As the show has gone on, viewers have seen Clare pursuing Dale openly, despite contestants’ complaints. Season 16 of The Bachelorette has truly mirrored 2020 – it is unexpected. However, this is reality TV gold. Finally, Tayshia appeared on the Tuesday, October 27 episode of The Bachelorette, emerging from a pool in a stunning red bikini and highlighting exactly what the guys can look forward to.
The promo showing Tayshia coming out of the pool is the first time the ABC show has addressed rumors that she is the new Bachelorette. The show did not respond to rumors for a long time, but finally, fans have confirmation. Fans of the show first met Tayshia when she appeared on Colton Underwood’s’ season of The Bachelor. Tayshia lost to Cassie Randolph, who ended up winning Colton’s heart. Tayshia then went on to appear on Bachelor in Paradise, where she fell in love with John Paul Jones. But the romance was short-lived and they broke up soon afterward.
Tayshia was initially pegged to be The Bachelorette, but was passed over in favor of Clare Crawley. Although many fans were annoyed she was not chosen, Bachelor alum Nick Viall said, “Tayshia is a lovely human, she would also have you in bed by 8:30 (via Us Weekly)." Not the nicest thing to say, but no matter because Bachelor Nation fans are team Tayshia. Some are even picking the men who might make a good match for the new Bachelorette, even though Clare is still in the picture. However, nothing is certain yet, and Tayshia will have plenty of time on-screen to explore her many options.
