Reports say Michelle Young’s season of The Bachelorette recently started filming at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa in Indian Wells, California, and the luxury resort is giving fans wanderlust. The gorgeous California hotel looks like the perfect place to fall in love, and Michelle’s season will have an enviable backdrop. The region’s weather will present some difficulties, but overall, the location will serve Michelle well on her journey to an engagement.

Michelle was the runner-up on Matt James' season of The BachelorThough she didn’t get his final rose, she became a fan favorite in the process. The question of who would be the next Bachelorette lingered on viewers’ tongues for weeks, and fans were overjoyed to learn of Katie Thurston and Michelle’s back-to-back seasons. Filming for Michelle’s season started on July 30, according to blogger Reality Steve. The Minnesota teacher’s cast of eager suitors has already settled in to their temporary home at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa.

Michelle’s season of The Bachelorette will reportedly be filmed in two main locations, but the first is the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa. Like Katie’s season, filmed at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa in New Mexico, Michelle’s season will begin in the desert as well, this time in California. The Renaissance Esmeralda is nestled within the Coachella valley in one of the hottest spots in the state. In the region, cast and crew members can expect to encounter daily highs in excess of 110 degrees, and keeping cool may be difficult.

The resort itself is a lush oasis in the middle of an inhospitable desert that boasts a sprawling estate and tempting faux-beach pool. The outdoor pool is the jewel of the resort and features sandy shores, sparkling blue waters, tropical cabanas, and a tempting pool bar. The cast and crew of Michelle’s season will likely make use of the resort’s beautiful grounds and romantic fire pits for some of the first dates of the season.

With at least the first part of the season set in another enviable desert resort, Michelle’s season might feel similar to Katie’s. Tayshia and Kaitlyn will even reportedly be on hand to co-host again. However, with the timing of Michelle’s season and the current temperatures in Coachella Valley, the weather may be the source of some issues. Viewers can expect a lot of nighttime dates and perhaps even some increased tension and aggression from the male cast exacerbated by the heat.

If the reports are true, Michelle’s season of The Bachelorette is already underway, and will be taking place in a romantic, albeit warm, location. Katie has given Michelle advice for her journey as the next Bachelorette, and with Kaitlyn and Tayshia by her side, Michelle has exceptional guidance. As long as she doesn’t let the desert heat get to her, Michelle should have everything she needs to find love.
