When Rachel Lindsay was looking for love during The Bachelorette season 13, actors Ashton Kutcher and his wife Mila Kunis helped her to choose the man who eventually became her husband, Bryan Abasolo. Rachel first appeared in Nick Viall's season of The Bachelor in 2017. Later that year, she broke ground as the first Black Bachelorette in her own season of The Bachelor spin-off. Rachel and Bryan had an immediate connection when they met. She even gave him her first impression rose. At the end of the season, Bryan proposed, and Rachel happily accepted. They got married in Mexico on August 24, 2019.

Rachel is currently a correspondent for Extra. While she was interviewing Ashton and Reese Witherspoon about their new movie, Your Place or Mine, Rachel and Ashton reminisced about his and Mila's Bachelorette appearance during a group date; she thanks the actor for leading her to The Bachelorette's Bryan Abasolo.

The date took place during week 2 and featured the men (Dean Unglert, Jack Stone, Jonathan Treece, Blake Elarbee, Iggy Rodriguez, Kenny Layne, Fred Johnson, and Lucas Yancey) competing in a domestic-themed obstacle course to find out who was "husband material." The men had to change a baby's diaper, wear Babybjörn apparel, deal with a clogged sink, and run with a vacuum cleaner.

Bachelorette's Rachel Lindsay Feels 'Indebted' To Ashton Kutcher

Rachel said that "it really helped" to have Ashton on the set of The Bachelorette with her. At the time, he told her, "I'm telling you, I'm looking around this room, and your husband is not here." Rachel also revealed that Ashton told her to talk to her future husband about love languages and to read the book Sapiens. Rachel shared that she remembers all of Ashton's advice, "and it worked. And we've been married for three-and-a-half years." Ashton explained that on The Bachelorette group date, he knew that none of the men who participated were the one for Rachel. He claimed he knew this because "they were all more interested in beating each other" than Rachel. Rachel said that she is "indebted" to both Ashton and Mila for helping her to choose Bryan.

Bachelor Nation often features guests who help the leads along the way. However, they sometimes appear to be publicity stunts that have no real effect on the Bachelorette lead's decision. It is refreshing to hear that Ashton and Mila were on The Bachelorette not just to increase ratings but that they took their roles seriously. Ashton gave Rachel some really good advice based on his own intuition, which she took to heart. Although Bryan was not on that group date, Ashton's guidance was part of the reason that Rachel realized Bryan was the one for her.

Ashton and Mila have said that they are big Bachelor franchise fans, so they were the perfect celebrity couple to appear during Rachel's season. Rachel and Bryan have had a beautiful relationship for the past five years and have stood by each other through both the good and more challenging times. When The Bachelorette casts celebrities to advise the lead again, Ashton and Mila should be their first choice.
