Fans met The Bachelorette suitor Peter Izzo when he came in throwing pizza dough, and some viewers believe he's already getting the villain edit. While his outsized personality made a big impression, as episode 2 got rolling, he started standing out in the wrong ways. Even The Bachelorette fan favorites can become villains.

Peter started his journey by saying that he heard Michelle is "a big foodie." He continued, "which is great because I change lives one slice at a time." When asked whether he was actually a pizza aficionado, he said that everyone would have to wait and see. Peter believed he and Michelle were vibing right from the start. However, as the season continued, viewers started to think that Peter was getting painted as the bad guy. Peter tried to woo Michelle with cannoli and red wine and wasn't offended when she almost mislabeled the treats as calzones. The pair seemed to be off to a good start, and he got a rose at the first ceremony. However, the Florida native and "pizzapreneur" Peter quickly started to rub people the wrong way.

When asked by students how many times it is acceptable to call Michelle beautiful in a day, he responded, "it's never enough Bella," on his whiteboard. Peter has gone all out with his Italian branding. He sparked his villain narrative during their fake class session. Like any troublemaker, he tried to get Michelle's attention in the middle of class. One of her students wisely whispered back, "leave her alone." In his interview, Peter said, "I definitely consider myself an alpha presence. I'm not just a guy. I'm the guy."  Peter's cocky attitude makes it so easy for the production team to frame him as a villain.

The men aren't too fond of Peter, either. Casey Woods said, "so I can't speak for anyone else in terms of how they experience Peter. For me, it's a little too much." Sadly, the pizza antics didn't make Peter Michelle's favorite premiere entrance and weren't enough to save his reputation. When asked how to spell "narcissist," Will Urena boldly wrote "Peter," and the students loved it. Will noticed that Peter was heated, as his face seemed as red as tomato sauce.

Peter was furious that Will would jump to conclusions about his character. He pulled Will aside later to address the incident. Peter sarcastically said, "maybe you don't understand how to spell narcissist." Will said he was tired of all the pizza talk. Ironically, while the men argued, Michelle said in the distance, "you don't have to be the loudest in the room to show you're confident."

Peter may not be a bad guy, but stepping into hot water so early in the season is never a great move. Hopefully, he won't end up as one of The Bachelorette's most annoying villains. Michelle likes a goofy guy, but she also likes quiet confidence. There's also a difference between being goofy and being obnoxious. Michelle made it clear that "if you're standing there screaming," the point isn't going to come across. Time will tell if Peter can take a step back into his vulnerable side and show the best of himself to Michelle. However, one thing is certain, and that's the fact that this season of The Bachelorette is heating up to be one of the most competitive yet.
