Michelle Young's season of The Bachelorette has come down to Brandon Jones, Joe Coleman, Nayte Olukoya, and Rodney Mathews, and these men are celebrating this being the first final four in the history of the show to consist of only people of color. Michelle got to know Brandon, Joe, Nayte, and Rodney during her first night as the lead of The Bachelorette season 18. Alas, these four men had quite different journeys over the course of the season.

Brandon came in as a 26-year-old traveling nurse recruiter from Portland, Joe as a 28-year-old real estate developer from Minneapolis, Nayte as a 27-year-old sales executive from Canada, and Rodney as a 29-year-old sales representative from California. But besides being successful men in their late 20s, there weren't that many apparent similarities between these four guys when the season first started. Now, they're making history as the final four contestants on Michelle's season.

This week, Nayte Olukoya took to Instagram to celebrate the history-making fact that the final four men on Michelle Young's season of The Bachelorette are all people of color. "For the first time in Bachelor franchise history, the final four men are all POC," Nayte wrote in his Instagram post (seen below), which included a photo of him and Michelle with Brandon, Joe, and Rodney on the show. "I'm proud to be a part of this moment and to be able to stand beside three men whom I admire," he added. Nayte then shared his experiences growing up in a mostly white neighborhood in Canada and noted how proud he is of the way he and the other final four men have been portrayed on TV.

Certain past seasons have featured rather competitive finalists, but it seems like it's all love between Michelle's final four men on The Bachelorette. Given that all four finalists are men of color, it is now guaranteed that Michelle's final pick in the season will be a person of color, which is also a historic achievement for the series. Right now, Bachelor Nation fans are certainly happy to watch Brandon, Joe, Nayte, and Rodney in the final four. It's also wonderful to see Nayte celebrating this achievement taking place during Michelle's season. After 25 seasons of The Bachelor and 18 seasons of The Bachelorette, this franchise has only featured four Black cast members leading their own seasons.

There are still a few episodes to go until fans can find out which contestant will be picked by Michelle at the grand finale. Nonetheless, these are all pretty great four guys, so Michelle has quite a few options in front of her. Hopefully, true love will prevail at the end of her season.
