The present was wheeled into a room, where Katie finally got to see inside the box. James Bonsall, a charming and handsome contender, jumped out of the box to finally greet Katie, earning himself the nickname “Mystery Box Dude.” Although he waited a while to spend time with the Bachelorette, he certainly earned her time, attention, and interest by building up some suspense.

Certainly, one of the most interesting introductions of the night came from Connor Brennan, who took Katie’s love for cats to a whole new level. He approached Katie in a full cat costume, complete with a drawn-on cat nose and whiskers. Katie loved the idea and even shared a passionate kiss with Connor - getting his cat makeup all over her. Ultimately, Katie was drawn to Connor’s thoughtfulness, creativity, and quirkiness. So, even though he earned the nickname of “Catman,” he has certainly made a name for himself among Katie’s men.
Greg Grippo Gets The First Impression Rose
Katie Thurston connected with quite a few men during her premiere, but Greg Grippo really caught her eye and made a strong connection right from the start. Greg is shy, but charming, and he was very open with Katie about his emotions. He is a family man and even brought a macaroni necklace made by his niece to give to The Bachelorette. His attention and sweet gesture won Katie over and made him stand out enough to earn Katie’s first impression rose, which is a big step toward building a strong connection, particularly on the first night of the season.
