The finale of Matt James' season of The Bachelor is not yet here but The Bachelorette for season 17 has been revealed. While season 25 of the ABC show has been one of the messiest, fueled with bullying and cringe-inducing catfights between Queens and CEOs, it did give Bachelor Nation a clear favorite: Katie Thurston. Turns out the vibrator-wielding woman from Lynnwood, Washington, will be the next Bachelorette, stepping into Clare Crawley and Tayshia Adams' sparkly heels, as per Reality Steve's spoiler.

While it may have been The Bachelor season 25 that made Katie a household name, it was her TikTok that made the Washington native a viral sensation. Katie’s fun, ambitious persona shone through on her first night in Nemacolin as her vibrator “MJ” tapped on the shoulders of beauty queens and trended on Twitter. However, Bachelor Nation really started whispering Katie’s name as the next Bachelorette when she stood up to Queen Victoria Larson, gave Sarah Trott a shoulder to cry on, and informed Matt about the toxicity in his house. Surely Katie becoming a fan favorite without even going on a single one-on-one date with The Bachelor Matt made sense then. But now, it does come across that even with season 25 just being halfway done, Bachelor Nation’s prediction of being the 2021 Bachelorette has come true.

While Reality Steve may have hinted at Kendall Long, Hannah Ann Sluss, or Tia Booth as the lead of The Bachelorette season 17, he now has a real name to reveal. The Bachelor spoiler guru took to his Twitter to announce that “Katie Thurston was announced as the next ‘Bachelorette’” during the Women Tell All taping for Matt’s season last Thursday. Interestingly, this also means that Katie will be eliminated from The Bachelor on episode 7, just after scoring her first-ever one-on-one date with Matt.

As per People, Katie’s date is truly one of a kind and involves her pranking former Bachelorette contestant Tyler Cameron. With Tyler being at The Bachelor filming location to support best friend Matt, the latter gets Katie involved in an elaborate prank that involves a sensuous massage. As Tyler gets a massage, Katie and Matt give strange instructions into the masseuse’s ear; however, the outcome of the date clearly doesn’t turn out to be anything romantic. The Bachelor star notes how he sees Katie as more of a good friend than a potential fiancée or partner, thus leading to her elimination.

However, Katie’s exit from The Bachelor means a bigger win for her as she’s now the new Bachelorette, giving her the chance to find a man who’ll let her break-up with “MJ” the vibrator. Many fans rooted for Katie to not win The Bachelor so she could become The Bachelorette instead, so this spoiler is cause for a celebratory cocktail night.
