Former Bachelorette star Kaitlyn Bristowe and her fiancé Jason Tartick have decided against televising their wedding. Kaitlyn announced her and Jason's engagement on May 11 and revealed how he got down on one knee to propose to her at their Nashville home while filming an episode of her Off The Vine Podcast. She described the proposal as everything she could have asked for and described Jason's words to her as insanely beautiful. Kaitlyn also said they had never locked eyes the way they did in their lives and were holding hands. She said they were holding hands, and she listened to every word he said but still blacked out.

Kaitlyn and Jason's engagement marked a beautiful turn in their whirlwind romance and personal lives. Kaitlyn was The Bachelorette Season 11 lead and accepted a proposal from Shawn Booth. Booth and Kaitlyn dated for three years before splitting in November 2018. Following the split, Kaitlyn set her sights on Jason, who was on Becca Kufrin's season of The Bachelorette but was sent packing during fantasy suite week. At the end of that season, Kaitlyn invited Jason to her podcast and asked him if he was finally going to ask her on a date. Since then, the pair have been going strong, to the delight of their fans, who have been looking forward to them tying the knot.

Kaitlyn and Jason are preparing for their wedding but have now revealed they won't be televising it. Being reality television stars, lovebirds Kaitlyn and Jason are familiar with having their lives recorded on TV but will not televise their walk down the aisle. In an exclusive interview with Hollywood Life, the couple detailed their wedding plans and explained why they are keeping it private. Kaitlyn said, "We don't want to put our friends and family in that position. It's one thing for us. We get how TV works, but I don't ever want to make anybody uncomfortable with being on TV and not have them be themselves! I want everybody so in the moment and being themselves."

Despite choosing not to televise her and Jason's nuptials, Kaitlyn, who won 2020's edition of Dancing With The Stars, said Instagram Stories were certainly on the table. She also revealed they may have a wedding date planned but are waiting to get feedback from their chosen venue. Kaitlyn explained that the present state of the COVID-19 pandemic made it hard to book venues. She added, "Everything is taken, so I don't want to jinx it! We have a date that we think, we've just got to make sure the venue says yes."

Kaitlyn and Jason's reason for deciding not to televise their wedding is quite understandable. Every couple wants their wedding to be a memorable event and for their guests to feel comfortable. Hence, if televising the ceremony would affect these things, they are within their rights not to do so. However, Kaitlyn's revelation that Instagram Stories are on the table for her wedding means her fans can also be part of her nuptials even if she is not televising it. The Bachelorette star's fans will now be waiting for her and Jason to announce their official wedding date once it is confirmed.
