Even after The Bachelorette, Hannah Brown continues to inspire women, saying recently that they need to support each other, despite what society teaches. This is no surprise considering the honesty and openness she displayed during her reign as The Bachelorette.

While she's now slaying it on the dance floor on Dancing With the Stars, Brown has admittedly had a rough time dealing with heartbreak in front of a national audience. After not finding love but finding a greater sense of self on The Bachelorette, Brown has not shied away from talking about her experience on the show. She has criticized guys who never had an intention of finding love and wishing other exes with much purer intentions all the best. She has shut down rumors based on nothing that she and her Dancing With the Stars partner were dating, and she has stood up for a past Bachelorette when she became involved in a feud with another one of Brown's exes. As she advances further in competition on Dancing With the Stars, Brown remains unafraid to speak her mind.

At Girl Up's #GirlHero Awards in Beverly Hills on Sunday, Brown told Us Weekly, "Going through the struggles and the victories that I have in the spotlight [has] really shown me how important it is that, even though we’re all different and we all have different roads of getting there, we need to support each other no matter what.” Brown said it can be difficult when every woman is chasing the same goal of feeling empowered and being successful, but that it's important to lift one another up, not tear others down. She said, "Let’s always do what’s right for women, this female generation, in any circumstance.”

Brown offered up more advice for the next generation of young women, adding that it's important to look people in the eyes when you greet them and to always say hello and smile. She said that a kind greeting can go a long way, explaining, “It just takes a moment to just share a smile or a hello with somebody, and you never know if that’s going to make somebody’s day, if that’s the first smile that they’ve seen in a while or where they’re at."

Where Brown is at right now appears to be a much better place than where she was at the end of The Bachelorette. The former pageant queen admitted that she was struggling with happiness after the finale. Through her next journey on Dancing With the Stars, she's not only trying to find happiness for herself, but for all the young women and girls who draw inspiration from her words and actions.
