Rumors have been circulating that fan-favorite The Bachelorette contestant Greg Grippo aspires to be an actor and, according to Tayshia Adams, this will be addressed at the finale. Greg was a front-runner on Katie Thurston’s season, up until the most recent episode where he appeared to have a breakdown and ended up self-eliminating after claiming Katie gave up on their relationship.
In last week’s episode, Greg introduced Katie to his family and proclaimed his love for her. Unfortunately, Katie did not respond in the way Greg expected. In fact, her response made it seem like she did not reciprocate his feelings in any way. After saying he loves her, Katie responded with, “I just love looking at you.” This answer fell flat with both Greg and viewers of the show. As soon as these words left Katie’s mouth, there was an obvious shift in the mood between them. After circling back to this conversation with Katie days later, it seemed as though Greg had already made up his mind that he was done with their relationship and wanted to leave. In the end, he left Katie crying on the ground and exited the show. Some fans felt sorry for him and were on his side, while others speculated this was just an acting audition from the former contestant.
Co-host Tayshia shared details about what is to come on the reunion show On Air With Ryan Seacrest. When Tanya Rad brought up the rumors about Greg wanting to be an actor, Tayshia responded saying, “You know, I’ll just tell you this: That will be addressed.” She went on to tell everyone to just wait it out because the finale was going to dive into those rumors next week.
While it is unclear from Tayshia’s answer if those rumors about Greg are true or not, it will be interesting to see what is revealed on the finale show. This would not be the first time that a contestant has come on the show with hopes of getting famous in some way. Flashback to Jed Wyatt on Hannah Brown’s season who many thought came on the show to promote his singing career. There was even Thomas Jacobs on season 17 who was eliminated a few episodes back with claims that he was only on the show to become the next The Bachelor star.
Regardless of what will be revealed on the finale episode for The Bachelorette season 17, it is sure to be dramatic. Not only have Katie’s top two choices self-eliminated at this point, but it also seems like the only option left for Katie to choose is Blake Moynes, considering she does not seem to have any connection at all to Justin Glaze. Only time will tell if Katie ends up engaged or not and if Greg is exposed for being on the show for the wrong reasons.
