Bachelorette fans are not happy with how tonight's finale turned out. Tayshia ultimately decided to do what she felt was best for herself and in doing so sent Ivan home. The two had a private discussion prior to the rose ceremony resulting in Ivan's departure.
The Bachelorette kicked of it's 16th season in October of this year. The season was originally suppose to premiere back in May but due to the Covid-19 pandemic the show had to be postponed a few months. Of the many men who stepped out of the limo in the beginning of the season, only Ivan, Brendan and Zac grew their relationships strong enough with Tayshia to make it to finale night. In part one of the two part season finale, fans watched as Bachelorette Tayshia neared her final decision with both excitement and nerves. She also became more intimate with each of the guys as they all individually had their fantasy suite dates. Ivan was up first to spend the night with Tayshia during which they performed the world's longest coldest kiss. Despite seeming to have a strong bond, Tayshia and Ivan just weren't meant to be. After a private conversation between the two during night 2 of the finale, Ivan went home prior to the rose ceremony.
Fans who follow Ivan on Instagram are not happy about Tayshia's decision call it quits with him during the finale. Ivan shared a photo on Instagram of the two in their ice buckets setting their joint world record at the same time as the final part of the finale was about to air. Prior to the episode, one fan expressed how upset they would be if Tayshia did not chose Ivan in the end. They explained that if the two were not together by the end of the finale "love is fake." Others cheered on Ivan, exclaiming that they were rooting for him and Tayshia. However, once fans watched the conclusion of the show unfold, they were quick to jump to the comments' section of the post to express their disappointment.
In an effort to bring up Ivan's spirits, fans expressed their love for him and explained that he could do better. One fan joked that he deserved "way more than an ice bath and trailer suite." Many comments expressed their love for Ivan. Someone even said that in their own personal relationships they will no longer accept anyone to treat them any less than the way Ivan treated Tayshia throughout the season. They praised Ivan for being a gentleman, saying that Tayshia is really missing out by not choosing to be with him. One Instagram user referred to the Bachelorette as being a "fool" for not picking Ivan. Another joked that if Tayshia doesn't want to date him then they will. Some comments pitched the idea of Ivan deserving to be the next Bachelor.
Ultimately, Tayshia had to do what she felt was best for herself, even if many Bachelorette fans don't agree with her decision. It seems as though once Ivan is over this heartbreak he will have quite a few single ladies willing to give it a try with him. Maybe these fans are on to something when they suggest Ivan should be the next Bachelor. His season would definitely have a ton of fans tuning in each week. In the end, it just was not meant to be between Ivan and Tayshia. Hopefully Ivan is moving past his heartbreak and Tayshia is happy with her decision to choose Zac.
