A lot of winners on The Bachelorette started out their respective seasons getting the first impression rose from a lead, so it's always a great sign for a contestant to receive this highly-coveted rose on night one. While there is never any guarantee that a first impression rose recipient will go all the way, it is very likely that this contestant will get very far based on how things played out in past seasons of the show. This special kind of rose was first introduced on The Bachelor season 10, but it holds a lot more weight for the women who lead their seasons of The Bachelorette. As such, let's look back at all of the contestants who were awarded a first impression rose on The Bachelorette over the years.

David Good (Season 5)

On Jillian Harris' season of The Bachelorette, the first impression rose on night one went out to David Good. With that said, things didn't pan out that great for David, who was eliminated on week 4.

After receiving Ali Fedotowsky's first impression rose on The Bachelorette, Roberto Martinez managed to win the season. They didn't go the distance after the season ended, but it was still a great story for Roberto to be the frontrunner from beginning to end.

Ryan Park (Season 7)

Ryan Park received the first impression rose from Ashley Hebert on The Bachelorette season 7. As the weeks went on, however, Ryan was ultimately eliminated on week 7.

Doug Clerget (Season 8)

On Emily Maynard's season, Doug Clergert managed to make a huge first impression and get his well-deserved rose. However, their connection fizzled out, and Doug was eliminated on week 7.

Various Men (Season 9)

The Bachelorette lead Desiree Hartsock was given the opportunity to hand out several first impression roses in season 9. As a result, Ben Scott, Bryden Vukasin, Drew Kenney, Michael Garofola, Nick Mucci, and Zak Waddell each received their own rose on night one.

Nick Viall (Season 10)

The Bachelor's Nick Viall

Nick Viall's Bachelor Nation introduction took place during Andi Dorfman's season of The Bachelorette, where he received the first impression rose and finished as the runner-up. Nick was then picked to lead his own season of The Bachelor, and up until this day, he is the only first impression rose recipient to do so.

Shawn Booth (Season 11)

After Kaitlyn Bristowe gave Shawn Booth her first impression rose and picked him to win the season at the finale, they kickstarted an entire era of first impression rose recipients going on to win the whole season of The Bachelorette.

Jordan Rodgers (Season 12)

Jordan Rodgers was awarded the first impression rose by JoJo Fletcher on season 12, and he won The Bachelorette in the end. This was the second consecutive year for a contestant to get that night-one rose and then win the season.

On Rachel Lindsay's season, there was yet another first impression rose who went on to win the show: Bryan Abasolo. Just like Shawn Booth and Jordan Rodgers, Bryan was the absolute frontrunner from start to finish.

It wasn't always perfectly clear that Garrett Yrigoyen would win Becca Kufrin's season, but he did receive the first impression rose. At this point in time, Garrett was the fourth consecutive The Bachelorette winner to have started his journey by winning a first impression rose.

Cameron Ayala & Luke Parker (Season 15)

The tradition of first impression rose recipients winning the show ended on Hannah Brown's season. Hannah was announced as the new Bachelorette lead during the After The Final Rose special from Colton Underwood's season. That night, she gave out a first impression rose to  Cameron Ayala. However, once the season actually started, the first impression rose went out to Luke Parker. Neither of them won the season, but Luke P. got very far.

Dale Moss (Season 16)

Bachelor Dale Clare

Clare Crawley not only gave out her first impression rose to Dale Moss, but literally decided that her journey on the show was over after meeting him on night one. It was a shocking twist for The Bacherelotte, but Clare and Dale made history anyway.
