Dean Unglert is speaking up about his thoughts on Clare Crawley’s oh-so dramatic season of The Bachelorette. It looks like he isn’t buying that she fell in love after just 12 days of filming. Here’s what this Bachelor alum has to say about her exiting the season early and whether or not she found love at first sight.

Clare Crawley’s season of The Bachelorette has been causing a social media frenzy. First, it was the delayed production due to COVID-19. Now, rumors are flying because it appears she has given out her final rose halfway through filming, and Tayshia Adams is filling as the leading lady. Earlier this summer sources confirmed that contestant Dale Moss was the lucky gent who won over Crawley so quickly. So, what do fellow Bachelorette and Bachelor stars think about the unusual season? Fan-favorite Dean Unglert revealed his true thoughts about why Crawley left, and it’s pretty juicy.

The Bachelorette’s Dean Unglert sat down with US Weekly earlier this week to promote his and fellow Bachelor In Paradise star, Jared Hibon’s Help! I Suck at Dating podcast. While chatting about the live podcast (where fans can purchase ten dollar tickets to tune in and even participate in an episode), Unglert also commented on Clare Crawley’s unique upcoming season. He revealed to the outlet, “I don’t understand why Clare could just be like, ‘Yep, this is the person I like. Let’s just cut me off now.’” He added he is, “not buying the explanation," as former Bachelor stars like Ben Higgins and Nick Viall were fairly confident about their final pick after about 15 days of filming. "I’m sure at some point they leaned over to production and they’re like, ‘Hey, can you just, like, cut this production short? Because I’m going to just pick this person anyways,'" Dean said. "And they’re always like, ‘No, you can’t do that. You signed a contract to film for three months or however long you have to finish out the show.’”

While Dean's comments seem cynical, he does have a point. What makes Clare Crawley any different than Higgins and Viall? It’s true, no other season has ever allowed the lead, whether it’s a Bachelor or Bachelorette, to give out their final rose before the finale. Is it possible that there's something deeper going on with Clare? It doesn't seem unimaginable that production would simply give her the green light to walk away from a season before it finished filming.

Bachelor Nation fans will just have to tune in and watch the highly-anticipated season to see what really goes down. ABC has already been teasing the new season with promos stating the show will air on Tuesdays, instead of their normal Monday night time slot. But no matter what day of the week it airs, this season of The Bachelorette is sure to be filled with drama.
