Dale Moss’s sister shut down rumors that her brother and Clare Crawley had communications before filming The Bachelorette. Clare's season of the show has consistently made headlines over the past few months. From the anticipated reveal of how the cast and crew were going to film during shelter-in-place orders to Clare’s reported early exit from the season after just 12 days of filming, we're in for a wild ride this season.

This season has been subject to a mountain of speculation and shocking revelations, all starting with the delayed production of the show in March. Eventually, filming was able to start after securing a spot at La Quinta Resort & Club in Palm Springs. But shortly after filming began, rumors swirled that Clare had already fallen in love with one of her suitors and was leaving the show. Contestant Dale Moss was reported to be the man Clare fell for after just 12 days, which led to her exit, leaving her remaining contestants behind. Not too long after her suspected exit, The Bachelor season 23 alum Tayshia Adams was revealed as the next in line to date Clare’s remaining men. Due to the constraints of COVID-19, the show was unable to re-cast men because everyone on set had to go through rigorous testing and other safety measures before being allowed in The Bachelor bubble.

With all of the unexpected shakeups, rumors swirled that Clare and Dale had been in communication before the show began filming. Some speculated it was Dale Moss who found a way to contact Clare outside of the show. Now, it seems a new source has come to the forefront in the form of Dale Moss’s sister, who took to Instagram to put the rumors to rest.  According to an Instagram post from a Bachelor Nation fan account, Dale’s sister allegedly wrote on her Instagram stories, “That's tarnishing my brother's name and it's COMPLETELY FALSE."  She continued, "Your source for that information is LYING. I know this because I spent every day with my brother leading up to production! Never once did he reach out, nor was he ever contacted by Clare! (via Cosmopolitan). Dale's sister further cleared her brother's name saying, “My brother was EXTREMELY adamant about the rules, contracts, and privacy. He had EVERYTHING to lose and NOTHING to gain by communicating beforehand.” These comments weren’t the first debunking the existence of a relationship before filming. Michelle Money, a season 15 contestant and close friend of Clare’s, took to her own Instagram to post a video where she explained the reality of the situation. She claimed Clare never spoke to Dale before filming, and even applauded the former Bachelorette for putting an end to the entire process when she realized she was in love.

Chris Harrison notoriously deems every current season of the show as “the most dramatic season yet,” but with all of the unknowns and speculated cast shakeups, season 16 of The Bachelorette might already be claiming the title. However, fans will have to wait for the season to air in the fall in order for all of their burning questions to be answered.
