Benoit Beauséjour-Savard, the ex-fiancé of former The Bachelorette star Clare Crawley, reacted to her engagement to Ryan Dawkins. Benoit and Clare met on The Bachelor franchise's 2018 spin-off Winter Games and got engaged at the reunion. However, they broke up two months later. In March 2020, the hairstylist was announced as the Bachelorette season 16 lead but left the series for Dale Moss. Clare and Dale's relationship was rocky and ended for good in September 2021. Now that she's engaged again to Ryan, Benoit is making his feelings clear.

Benoit left a comment on one of Clare's Instagram posts celebrating her engagement, which took place at the Las Vegas RiSE festival's lantern releasing ceremony. Sharing an Instagram Reel that captured the exact moment Ryan proposed, Clare simply captioned the video "HIM," along with a red heart emoji. In the comments, Benoit wrote, "Congratulations to you two cuties! Wish you all the love and happiness you deserve." His ex-fiancé responded, "You’re the best - thank you thank you thank you." Others in the comments were impressed by how friendly the two exes are. Many praised Benoit as "class personified." Another wrote that other men should take notes from him. In addition to Benoit, other Bachelor Nation alumni left comments, including Andi Dorfman, who competed with Clare in Juan Pablo Galavis' season of The Bachelor.

Clare & Benoit's Successful Post-Bachelor Nation Friendship

The Bachelorette's Clare Crawley on Bachelor Winter Games

While some appeared surprised by the former fiancés' supportive friendship, this is not the first time the Canadian has publicly supported Clare. The Bachelor In Paradise contestant also praised his ex when she was named as the Bachelorette season 16 lead. According to Us Weekly, the former couple even filmed a scene together for her season premiere, but it was ultimately cut. The 35-year-old has also left sweet comments for Clare on previous posts, including when she opened up about her mother's Alzheimer's battle. Clare and Benoit may have only been engaged for two months, but their friendship has spanned years.

That sweet friendship is a sharp contrast to Clare's drama with Dale, the other former fiancé she met through Bachelor Nation. Unlike the cordial breakup that occurred with Benoit, Clare had two very messy and public splits with the football player. Their social media interactions post-split were also far less wholesome, as she unfollowed the 34-year-old during their first breakup and blocked him after the second. After their final breakup, the California native had short-lived romances with Jeff Dye and Blake Monar.

Longtime viewers of the Bachelor franchise have seen Clare go through many romantic trials and tribulations over the years. After being Juan Pablo's runner-up, she appeared in Bachelor In Paradise seasons 1 and 2, failing to find love either time. Her choice to leave her own series early was controversial, and many theorized that Dale used Clare for money and fame. The fallout with him also occurred as her mother's condition worsened. But now The Bachelorette fans are surely hoping Clare's found her prince charming in Ryan, at long last.
