Former star of  The Bachelorette Clare Crowley announced her plans to remove her breast implants, after experiencing some health issues for a few years now. Clare took the reigns as The Bachelorette for the show's 16th season. Prior to that, she appeared on a few seasons of The Bachelor, Bachelor in Paradise and Bachelor: Winter Games, so fans were excited to see her get another chance at finding true love. Becoming The Bachelorette for season 16 made Clare the oldest Bachelorette, at 39 years old. Clare caused a lot of controversy when she decided she found the one for her, Dale Moss, and walked off the show after only two weeks of filming.

After clearly hitting off on the show, the couple got engaged and started their post-show life together. They wasted no time meeting each others families, and even spending Thanksgiving together. In January, the fairy tale came to an end, when Dale confirmed the couple had split, after a source let it slip earlier in the month that the couple were on shaky ground. Not long after Dale's statement however, the pair was spotted out holding hands and seemingly taking a trip to Florida together. The couple decided to give their relationship a second chance, confirming their reconciliation in March. Things seem to be going well for them, as they continue to post pictures of them hanging out.

Clare is now opening up to fans about a recent health scare, which led to her decision to get her breast implants removed. During a recent Instagram post, Clare revealed her decision and explained why she is choosing to do so. In her post, she explains she hasn't felt right for a few years now, and despite not going to many doctors and specialist, they could not figure out what was wrong with her. Clare described taking various medications to control a rash that would break out all over her body, but nothing worked. She did not go into detail about what her other symptoms were, but claims there were many others. During a trip to the chiropractor last month, Clare finally got some hope to finding an answer.

Her chiropractor suggested Clare get a mammogram, because he noticed a pocket of fluid behind one of her breast implants. After the first mammogram, Clare says they saw some things that should not have been there, and she then had to come back for two more mammograms and an ultrasound. Through running all these tests, the doctors found fluid sacs behind her implants. After finding the fluid, her doctors went back and looked through her previous test results. They knew her white blood cell count was high, which meant her body was fighting off a foreign substance, but they couldn't figure out what that substance was until they found the fluid. Clare says as much as she loves her implants, they are not what make her beautiful, and she values her health much more. She expanded on that by saying "this is the ultimate love story is loving my body enough to know that this is not what makes me beautiful."

Clare's story will no doubt help others who feel their bodies are not good enough the way it is. The former Bachelorette star encouraged everyone to love their bodies and put their health first. In a world where filters and photoshop apps are running rampant, Clare is encouraging fans to embrace their bodies for what they are and put their value in other things. This may be the beginning of a new journey for Clare, starting a body positivity movement, through sharing her health battles and recovery process.
