The engagement of The Bachelorette's Katie Thurston to Blake Moynes means their families will soon become one, but Blake's mother Emily doesn't seem thrilled at the prospect of spending the holidays with Katie's judgmental Aunt Lindsey. From her refusal to hug Blake hello, to her negative view of marriage, Lindsey did not create a welcoming atmosphere for her niece's love interest. Therefore, it's no wonder that Emily may have a few choice words for Lindsey after she interrogated Blake.

When it came time for Katie's aunt and mom to meet her remaining suitors, Blake was the last man standing. After he expressed his love to her and they enjoyed a romantic evening in the fantasy suite, Katie sent Justin Glaze home. She just knew that Blake was her "person." All eyes were on Blake, who tried to relax and be himself. But nothing he said or did could impress Lindsey, who Katie described as being like a sister. Not only did Lindsey call Blake out for being rejected by former Bachelorette leads Tayshia Adams and Clare Crawley, but she also downplayed his parents' divorce, the experience of which Blake felt would help in his own marriage. "Watching a train wreck and being in one is way different," she told him.

On the heels of the episode, Blake's mom Emily took to Instagram to share a photo of herself watching this stressful scene unfold. She's standing inches from the television, hand on her hip, as Lindsey's unsmiling face fills the screen. Emily captioned the picture, "Thanksgiving dinner should be fun..." Included were two laughing emojis and the hashtag "#Clinkaglass." While Emily could've shared the post out of humor, she was likely hurt and angered by how her son was treated by this woman.

In Emily's Instagram Story, she included clips from a Bachelorette watch party. She and the rest of Blake's family can be heard cheering when Katie returns Blake's declaration of love. This is proof that Katie is a welcome new member of the Moynes clan. In a happy birthday post to her "honey bear," Katie revealed their next stop is his home country of Canada. It's unclear whether or not the Thurstons have accepted Blake as one of their own. If they haven't, they should be wary of Emily, who looks just as strong and independent as Lindsey. According to her Instagram, she's the owner of two businesses, an author, and a podcast host who's "rebuilding a kick *** life."

Throughout their journey on The Bachelorette, both Blake and Katie were dragged on social media at various points. Fans questioned Blake's intentions after he fought for the hearts of both Clare and Tayshia on season 16. As for Katie, diehard fans of final three contestant Greg Grippo felt Katie was cold toward him, which led to his dramatic exit. Despite everything, it's undeniable that there's a deep connection between Katie and Blake. Everyone deserves to find their person, and hopefully, their families can put any tensions aside to celebrate this new couple.
