If one needs to know what a successful The Bachelorette contestant looks like, just ask Bennett Jordan, who belongs to the upper echelon of grown-ass men. Everyone’s favorite Harvard grad, Bennett entered La Quinta in a Rolls-Royce but also managed to spell limousine wrong. And as Bennett’s popularity amongst Tayshia Adams’ men continues to rise high, so does his Instagram following. However, The Bachelorette star who is known to provide comic relief recently shocked the Bachelor Nation by giving them a painful health update and announcing his surgery plans.

The scarf-wearing Bennett did come across as a potential villain to most on episode one of The Bachelorette. But by the time the episode had ended, and the Bachelor Nation had had a tour of Chateau de Bennett, most had become fans of the Harvard hunk. In spite of the ongoing Clare Crawley and Dale Moss dilemma, Bennett and his must-required screen-time kept his fans well-fed. The 36-year-old soon proved he was unproblematic and more focused on his face-masks rather on drama. And as Bennett came to be introduced to Tayshia, many wondered if he’d be the one for The Bachelorette. But while Bennett’s finance jokes may not take him too far, he has created a Club Bennett for himself on social media. And it was during one of his interactions with his loving admirers on Instagram that The Bachelorette guy revealed why he was recently seen wearing a brace.

The Clark Kent of The Bachelorette Bennett posted his yoga workout sessions on Instagram to show how he stays in shape. “An inordinate amount of people have asked for an outtake from my yoga practice today,” wrote Bennett. “I’m a little insecure about it, but I found this part during’ share that love’ and I thought it was a sign to share,” he confessed in the post caption. But while Bennett joked about yoga inversions helping to increase blood flow to the head and “improving spelling skills,” The Bachelorette fans noticed him wearing a knee brace.

Ouch, what happened to your knee?” asked a concerned fan, to which Bennett replied with, “I have two tears in my meniscus.” The Bachelorette Tayshia's suitor also added that he has “a torn plica and bursitis.” Bennett also revealed that he was getting surgery in January. However, while Bennett’s fans wished him a speedy recovery, some also joked that he should be going easy on the headstands. “It’s from getting down on one knee HARD to propose to Tayshia,” wrote another ABC viewer in jest.

Amongst the commentators on Jordan’s post is also The Bachelorette host Chris Harrison’s girlfriend Lauren Zima. “Bennett does yoga?!?” wrote the surprised Entertainment Tonight producer who also got hilarious replies to her comment like, “girl, he does it all he went to Harvard.” Here’s hoping Bennett recovers soon enough to do more headstands on Insta, and until then, fans can relish watching him on The Bachelorette as he continues attending cocktail parties in conspicuous robes.
