Recent Bachelorette, Katie Thurston, opened up about her thoughts on her future with fiancé, Blake Moynes, including the likelihood of having children. Katie's season just wrapped up in a shocking three-hour event this past Monday night. This comes after being sent home 11th on the latest season of The Bachelor.
Blake just recently came off of the previous season of The Bachelorette, vying for a chance at both Tayshia and Clare's heart. He was a late addition this time around, joining the cast by the 4th episode after surprising Katie for a chance at love. She admitted that this wasn't her first encounter with him, after he had popped into her DMs following her elimination from Matt James's season.
Katie has been doing the interview rounds in her recent press tour after the finale. In an exclusive interview with People, she opened up about what the future could look like for her and Blake. She makes note that the conversation regarding children is open, and that for right now, everything is on the table, including adoption and the possibility of not having children. Katie restates her beliefs later in the interview: "The world is kind of dying right now and we have to question: Do we want to bring kids into this or spend the remainder of our time and energy to try to make the earth a better place?"
Just the other day, Katie shared an Instagram post in honor of his 30th birthday. In it, she references their upcoming visit to Canada. Could a move be on the horizon? Blake also shared an equally lovey post that same day. Production for Katie's season officially ended in late April of this year, so it is great to see them finally share their love publicly after waiting these past few months.
The most recent seasons of The Bachelor(ette) have created lasting relationships; including Katie, that's a streak of four! There was Clare and Dale's recent (re)engagement, Tayshia and Zac, and Matt and Rachael. It was refreshing to hear Katie's honest take on her feelings towards having children and starting a family, which is a view that is uncommon to see in the Bachelor bubble.
