Andrew Spencer, who won the hearts of fans on Katie Thurston's season of The Bachelorette, recently revealed that he'd be open to appearing on Bachelor In Paradise in the future on one condition. The 26-year-old professional football player was a steady favorite among viewers as he advanced to Katie's final five. From Andrew's fake British accent and sweet demeanor to his ability to shy away from drama in the house, Bachelor nation felt he was deserving of love. Despite his emotional departure, it seems Andrew isn't opposed to giving the franchise another shot.

Ever since the conclusion of The Bachelorette season 17, which saw Katie get engaged to Blake Moynes, rumors have been swirling about who will star as the next lead of The Bachelor. So far, names tossed around have included Andrew, Greg Grippo, and Tyler Cameron, the runner-up from Hannah Brown's season. While blogger Reality Steve has intel that producers tapped Greg for the role, Greg's uncle allegedly debunked that rumor. As for Tyler, he previously said that the franchise is no longer "his world." Andrew remains a possible contender. At this point, there is little evidence to prove that Andrew is our next Bachelor. It's all speculation.

Recently, Andrew shared that he would be willing to appear on a future season of Bachelor In Paradise. During a Q&A about the show on his Instagram Story, Andrew responded to one follower who asked, "Would you ever go on BIP?" To this, Andrew replied, "Yes if I don't find love before that." It was unclear if Andrew meant on national television as The Bachelor or in the real world off-camera.

When the current cast of Bachelor In Paradise was announced, Andrew was one of the few favorites from Katie's season who wasn't included. Fans were excited to see guys like James Bonsall, Aaron Clancy, Tre Cooper, and Connor Brennan once again grace their TV screens, but they also wanted more of Andrew. It's possible that his football career in Vienna, Austria, or lingering heartache from The Bachelorette forced him to turn down the opportunity if it was given to him. It's also possible that he couldn't date around on Paradise because he has a group of 30-plus women ready to vie for his attention.

Still, Reality Steve, who originally tweeted the spoiler that Greg is likely the next Bachelor, is standing by his statement. After Greg was accused of gaslighting Katie and using the platform to launch his acting career, this would be one of the most controversial decisions by producers in the history of the show. For the many anti-Greg viewers, it would be an almost unwatchable season. Meanwhile, it would also make next year's season of Bachelor In Paradise that much more refreshing and highly-anticipated, especially if Andrew hits the beach to find love.
