Andrew Spencer is a professional football player who spends half of his year living in Chicago, Illinois and the half other in Vienna, Austria, but he will now be vying for Katie Thurston's heart on The Bachelorette season 17. As a whole, The Bachelorette series has a long history of casting pro athletes as contestants, and some of them even went on to become leads on The Bachelor. On Clare Crawley and Tayshia Adams' season of The Bachelorette, for instance, the producers cast two football players: Dale Moss and Jason Foster.

Andrew currently works in both Chicago, Illinois (as a football coach) and Vienna, Austria (as a football player). Specifically, Andrew plays for a team called the Dacia Vienna Vikings. With such a get track record, there's no denying that Andrew has built a great career for himself thus far.
As seen on his Instagram profile, Andrew Spencer is a big fan of traveling and spending some quality time with his friends and family members. Andrew is clearly also a very easygoing and sweet guy, which are the exact same qualities that Katie Thurston became known for during her stint on Matt James' season of The Bachelor. According to his official Bachelorette bio, Andrew wants to have as many as five children with his future wife. Andrew's biggest turnoff is a lack of communication, but that shouldn't be a concern for him when it comes to getting to know Katie on the show.
