Ever since The Bachelor started airing The Greatest Seasons-Ever! specials, viewers have been wondering more and more what certain past contestants have been doing post show. Most recently, the focus of these specials turned to the controversial season 18 Bachelor Juan Pablo Galavis. While Juan Pablo made history as the first Latino Bachelor, he also received a lot of backlash. There were many memorable moments from that season, including when contestant Sharleen Joynt quit. What has Canadian opera singer Sharleen been up to since?

Along with future season 10 Bachelorette Andi Dorfman, Sharleen was one of the two contestants that season to voluntarily leave the show instead of being eliminated. Sharleen cited a lack of a strong feelings on her part for Juan Pablo as the reason for walking away. She left with three weeks to go. Juan Pablo would go on to choose Nikki Ferrell, although the couple would split less than a year later.

Sharleen has found love after leaving the show, marrying Andy Levine in 2017 after a two year engagement. She met and started dating Andy the year after Juan Pablo's season. They were initially supposed to marry earlier, but postponed when a singing opportunity came up for Sharleen. Aside for her success as a professional opera singer, she also has a blog called All The Pretty Pandas and hosts her own podcast called Dear Shandy. In addition to her own blog, she also contributes to the website of Canadian magazine FLARE.

Sharleen may have walked away from her season, but she didn't abandon the franchise. She still has numerous connections to Bachelor Nation, and even recaps seasons of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette for FLARE.com. In her most recent FLARE recap, she took the time to defend Juan Pablo.

Calia Quinn, another former contestant, appeared as a guest on the Dear Shandy podcast. Sharleen is close friends with season 21 Bachelor Nick Viall, and has even posted a sweet birthday message to him on her Instagram. Nick and Calia were amongst the seven Bachelor alums who were invited to her wedding. Two of her season costars, Andi Dorfman and Kelly Travis, were also invited, as were Chris Soules and Becca Tilley. Talking about her wedding to US Weekly, she said all of them were people she regularly hung out with, as opposed to just having Bachelor Nation people there for the sake of it. Sharleen is one of many The Bachelor alums who gained career success and strong friendships from the show rather than the final rose. Judging by her own happy marriage, she made the right choice.
