Filming on the new season of Bachelor in Paradise is underway, and franchise blogger Reality Steve is already aware of some of the show's rumored contestants. After skipping a season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the reality show spin-off will be returning to TV screens later this summer. BIP is a fan-favorite from the franchise, and viewers are excited to see what this season will bring.

Viewers are delighted for the ABC reality series to make its return this summer. The most recent season aired in the summer of 2019, which ended with four engagements and the show's first same-sex couple. However, three out of the four engagements ended less than a year after the finale aired. The only remaining Bachelor in Paradise couple is Dylan Barbour and Hannah Godwin, who recently bought a house together in San Diego.

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD

Reality Steve updated viewers this week regarding the status of new Bachelor in Paradise contestants. Filming began last weekend at the same location as usual in Mexico, with plans to film for the next three weeks. Similar to the prior seasons, Bachelor in Paradise will start with 16 to 18 contestants, with more being added as the season progresses. The blogger revealed that it is impossible to know the exact current cast right now but will hopefully find out more news as the season progresses. Some of the alleged contestants include Kelsey Weier, Victoria Paul, Mykena Dorn, Tammy Ly, Natasha Parker, Deandra Kanu, Maurissa Gunn and Alexa Cave from Peter Weber's season of The Bachelor. However, this does not mean they will make an appearance on the beach.

From Clare Crawley and Tayshia Adams' season of The Bachelorette, Ivan Hall is reportedly down in Mexico along with Joe Park, Chasen Nick, Noah Erb, Kenny Braasch, Demar Jackson and Chris Conran. The ladies of Matt James' season will also be there. Season villain Victoria Larson will make an appearance, as will Mari Pepin, Abigail Heringer, Serena Pitt, Chelsea Vaughan, Jessenia Cruz, Alana Milne and Serena Chew. As for the men from Katie Thurston's season, the blogger is only confident that one contestant will appear on BIP: Connor Brennan, the suitor who dressed as a cat on night one. He is currently in Mexico right now getting ready to commence filming. Steve also heard Kendall Long and Joe Amabile (aka Grocery Store Joe) will be down there as well.

By the time season 6 of Bachelor in Paradise has completed filming, more than 30 contestants will have appeared in the season. However, viewers will have to wait quite some time, as the new season doesn't air until August. With Chris Harrison no longer the host of the franchise, ABC has added a few celebrity guests to fill in as Bachelor in Paradise hosts, such as David Spade, as well as Wells Adams and his fiancé Sarah Hyland.

Bachelor in Paradise premieres August 16 at 8pm on ABC.
