Many fans were shocked when Queen Victoria Larson was introduced to the cast on Matt James' season of The Bachelor. That hasn't seemed to go away as the weeks have gone by, with many fans questioning why she was even cast on the show in the first place. Well, for the fans wondering, they finally seemed to get their answer during a recent interview.

27-year-old Victoria Larson has been surrounded by controversy throughout her current time on the show. This includes accusations of bullying, particularly regarding now-former Bachelor contestant Sarah Trott. With the constant controversies and seemingly no connection with her and Matt that fans have noticed, viewers have constantly wondered why she was chosen to be apart of the show rather than other girls that had applied.

When speaking to Cosmopolitan, ABC executive Rob Mills explained why the production team chose to cast 'Queen' Victoria on The Bachelor instead of other applicants. Mills stated, "You can’t have people who are not going to do really anything and will just be wallflowers, I’m not saying the show is made purely to stir up drama, but certainly a strong personality like [Victoria] is good. And look, Matt has said that is something that he is attracted to: a woman who is her own woman and who is strong-willed. So you can’t argue that Victoria is not that." This statement seems to confirm that Queen Victoria was cast based on her strong personality.

Although many fans believe that Victoria is a producer's pick for The Bachelor, Rob Mills does not seem to regret casting her. According to the Cosmopolitan piece, Mills claimed that he and the rest of the production team only chose girls that they could see Matt sharing a future with, including Victoria. He declared, “[Victoria] is somebody who was great in casting and certainly had a point of view that was interesting. Obviously, nobody is mad that Matt is keeping her around, but at a certain point, if he really doesn’t see a future with her, he will send her home."

When it comes to the rest of Matt's season of The Bachelor, the fans won't know how far Queen Victoria makes it unless they tune in. With five new girls being brought in during the latest episode, fans could see her exit the competition sooner rather than later. But until then, viewers will have to tune in to find out how far she makes it in the competition.
