Kelley Flanagan had an untraditional start on The Bachelor, as she revealed that she and then-Bachelor Peter had run into each other before filming. From the time she stepped out of the limo, Kelley and Peter both were excited to see if the spark was still there. After the show ended, the pair began dating but announced right before the New Year that they had decided to go their separate ways. Now that Kelley is back on the market, fans might see her in the franchise again soon, maybe even as the next Bachelorette.

In the summer of 2019, Peter and Kelley happened to run into each other in a hotel lobby, each attending separate events. They shared a fun night together with a group of friends and a month later Kelley was on The Bachelor. The pair seemed to have an obvious connection, with Peter excited to see a familiar face and from then on, it was clear Kelley was a frontrunner. Kelley was blindsided right before hometowns when he sent her packing after saying their romantic relationship felt more like a friendship. Peter then proposed to Hannah Ann, but that engagement lasted only a couple of months before he eventually found his way back to Kelley.

The pair spent weeks quarantining together in Chicago, according to Us Weekly, and by April they made their relationship status official. The pilot and lawyer duo met each others' families and seemed to be very happy together. They planned on moving to New York City together, but after eight months of dating, they realized they were too different and it just was not meant to be. After their on-again, off-again relationship, fans were not sure if Kelley would be open to another Bachelor experience. The 28-year-old said in an Instagram Q&A that she would definitely consider being the next Bachelorette if the producers asked her to.

She said that even when some of her family members objected to her joining the cast of The Bachelor, she did not want to have any regrets. Kelley and Peter both appear to be content with their decision to part ways and open to finding love again. They are both still moving to New York City separately, so who knows what the future holds? With The Bachelorette likely to be announced in the next few months, fans may be excited and surprised if Kelley becomes the seventeenth Bachelorette. Whatever she decides, let's hope we get to see a lot more from her in the future.
