After a difficult ending to his season of The BachelorPeter Weber is finally telling his side of the story about his post-filming conversation with Hannah Brown. After Peter called off their engagement, Hannah Ann Sluss revealed that he reached out to Brown after filming ended for closure. Now, Peter is clearing up what exactly happened between the exes while he was an engaged man.

When Peter's season began, Brown crashed his very first group date to act as a host. The day went off the rails, however, when Brown admitted that she still had feelings for Peter. Her confession prompted an emotional conversation between the exes, and Peter even asked Hannah if she would stay and join his season. Eventually, the conversation came to an end and it seemed that the pair mutually decided not to pursue their relationship any further. Peter continued with his season and proposed to Hannah Ann on his final day in Australia, only to call off the engagement a few weeks later. He didn't see Hannah Ann again until After the Final Rose, where she brutally berated him for his treatment of her. After dressing-down her former fiancé, Hannah Ann ended her tirade by revealing that Peter also reached out to Hannah Brown during their engagement.

On a recent episode of The Viall Files podcast, Peter addressed Hannah Ann's statement about Brown. He first explained that he and Brown didn't really finish their conversation when she arrived on his season. Instead, they ran out of time and Peter had to say goodbye in order to move to the evening portion of his date. He went on to say that he received the first episode before the season premiere, which is when the conversation between him and Brown took place. The first episode included the bulk of their emotional conversation, which is precisely why watching it was difficult for both Brown and Peter. He said:

"Hannah Brown had been given the episode as well. One day I saw that she DM'd me on Instagram (I didn't have her number at that point). She was being really honest and open and wondering if I had seen the episodes yet. She was kinda struggling with it, it was tough to watch."

Peter continued his explanation:

"I saw this message and [Hannah Ann and I] were on a 'Happy Couple' weekend, and we were watching the episodes together, and I told her that Hannah Brown had reached out, that it could be good for both of us to get some closure. To be completely honest, the way that whole conversation ended [with Hannah Brown on 'The Bachelor'] wasn't very definite. I was so confused in that moment."

After explaining that Hannah Brown reached out first, Peter said that he asked Hannah Ann if he could have a conversation with her. Although he admitted that it was weird for his new fiancé, he also stated that Hannah Ann agreed as long as the conversation took place over the phone, and not in person. "She was, obviously, a little hesitant," Peter said, "And that's why I wanted to be transparent about her with everything. Ultimately, she gave me the okay and Hannah Brown and I discussed things."

Even from what we saw on the season, the conversation between Hannah Brown and Peter did come to a sort of strange and abrupt conclusion. One minute he asked her to join the house and the next she said goodbye and the pair went their separate ways. However, if Peter was still looking for closure from more than one ex, he probably shouldn't have proposed to Hannah Ann. Whether she gave her blessing or not, the conversation seems a little unnecessary in light of his recent engagement.
