Last week on Bachelor In Paradise, there were ups and downs in the romance department, but Wells Adams' reenactment of the Salley Carson drama stole the show. Salley's suitcase showed up unannounced in the women's bedroom. After a lot of confusion and a BIP vibrator fiasco, Wells decided to clear things up to the cast about what was happening.

However, viewers got the full behind-the-scenes gossip on not only Salley's arrival to paradise but also a fully produced BIP reenactment by Wells and an unnamed bearded man in a wig playing Salley. Producers of unscripted television are frequently asked to go above and beyond for the show. However, Wells' reenactment proved one BIP producer went to hell and back to get Salley on the show.

Wells Adams from Bachelor in Paradise

According to Wells' story, a BIP producer went to hell and back trying to get Salley to Paradise, which included a fake excuse of "explosive diarrhea" and a strange man claiming she wasn't home. Supposedly, the producer and Salley eventually went to Salley's home to get her things, but the situation went south when Salley asked the BIP producer to hide in the trunk of a car for hours. After several other mishaps, Wells claims that Salley's luggage got on the plane, but Salley did not. The BIP cast was amazed by Wells' story, and viewers at home were impressed by the multiple roles Wells flawlessly played in the reenactment.

Wells' performance as the producer and the gate agent was everything. While not all the new changes are bound to be winners, this was one BIP twist fans weren't mad about. The kitschy reenactment leaned into BIP's history of camp humor and kept things light amid the casts stress about coupling up. BIP promised a new energy this season and a deviation from the last year's drama. However, to many viewers, Wells' story does seem a little too wild to be true, and one of the BIP cast members even commented, "why does this feel like a choose your own adventure?," as Wells recounted the tale.

With The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, and BIP plagued by unnecessary heaviness in recent years, Wells' reenactment is setting a whole new tone. While stories like this often don't make it past on-set gossip, viewers audience was blessed by Wells' storytelling. Maybe he's been picking up acting tips from his new wife, Sarah Hyland. It's hard to say whether the opportunity for more reenactments will come along on BIP for Wells. If the chance for more silly side stories do come up, producers should take them seriously. If they don't, Drunk History or Saturday Night Live should consider hiring the popular Bachelor in Paradise bartender.
