Wells Adams has become a staple on Bachelor In Paradise as the wise-cracking bartender and relationship advice guru for the contestants. As drama on the beach ensues, he's a breath of fresh air and comedic relief. But despite his major role on the tropical spinoff of The Bachelor, Wells made it clear that he has no intention of having his marriage to fiancé Sarah Hyland featured on the show.

Bachelor Nation was introduced to the 36-year-old radio host on Joelle "JoJo" Fletcher's season of The Bachelorette. He then appeared on Bachelor In Paradise season three, during which he had a brief romance with Ashley Iaconetti. His bartending duties began the following year. After being unlucky in love on television, Wells fell for Sarah Hyland, a 30-year-old actress best known for her role of Hayley on Modern Family, in 2017. The two were engaged in July 2019 with plans to tie the knot in August 2020. However, their nuptials were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

While many fans wondered if Wells and Sarah are waiting to tie the knot on national TV as part of the upcoming season of Bachelor In Paradise, Wells shut those rumors down real quick. He recently told former contestant Kaitlyn Bristowe on her "Off The Vine" podcast that he doesn't want a televised, all-expenses-paid wedding. He said, "No, thank you. Hard pass." While Wells didn't elaborate, the safety of his fiancé and their guests is likely a key concern. Sarah, who was born with kidney dysplasia and received two kidney transplants, is high-risk for COVID complications. She previously told Chris Harrison on The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons - Ever!, "All of my family is mostly on the east coast, so for them to fly out ... and just ages and of course with my health risks, we want to be as safe as possible."

It also seems that Bachelor In Paradise marriages are cursed. Most couples who tie the knot on the beach end up having messy breakups not long after the ceremony. For example, Krystal Nielson and Chris Randone were married a mere eight months before they separated and Krystal announced her pregnancy with her new boyfriend Miles Bowles. There's also Carly Waddell and Evan Bass, the parents of two who called it quits after three years as husband and wife. Maybe it's something in the Mexican air. Or maybe, there's bad luck surrounding officiant Chris Harrison. No matter the reason, Wells and Sarah aren't taking any chances and are doing their own thing. Though Chris won't be officiating the ceremony, they promised the host would be invited as a guest.

The upcoming season of Bachelor In Paradise is slated to be super-sized since producers have more eligible singles to choose from. Specific details, including whether or not our favorite bartender returns, are under wraps. Wells said, "I think they're hoping it just goes back to how it normally used to be in the summer. I think if they can, they're gonna do it in Mexico. If not, they can just do it stateside." Contestants expected to make an appearance include former Bachelor Peter Weber, who recently split from Kelley Flanagan, and anesthesiologist Joe Park, a fan favorite from Clare Crawley and Tayshia Adams' season of The Bachelorette.
