Star of Bachelor in Paradise Thomas Jacobs wouldn't change a thing about his behavior on the franchise because it led him to become "so damn happy" in his current life. The 29-year-old real estate broker was first introduced to Bachelor Nation on Katie Thurston's season of The Bachelorette. Though he came off as charming in the beginning, his conversations were a bit too smooth, which led Katie and the rest of her men to question his true intentions of appearing on the show.

After a whole lot of gossip, one of Katie's guys asked Thomas directly if he was on the show with the goal of becoming the next star of The Bachelor. Without even a second of hesitation, the 29-year-old reality star confirmed that was a thought in his head when he arrived, but he no longer wants that after meeting and getting to know Katie. Unfortunately for Thomas, Katie no longer trusted him and sent him packing. Now, Thomas is getting a second chance at love on the sandy beaches of Mexico. So far, he has gone on one fun in the sun date with Serena Pitt. But after rumors about his behavior on The Bachelorette started circulating amongst the cast, Serena decided to friend zone him at the end of the date. However, the show had been teasing promos for former Bachelorette Becca Kufrin's arrival, and by the looks of it, she creates a pretty special connection with the former bad boy.

In a new sneak peek of the Talking It Out podcast, Thomas didn't reveal his post-Bachelor in Paradise relationship status, but he did drop a little hint for Bachelor Nation to decode while the rest of the season unfolds on television. "I will say I'm at a point in my life where I am extremely happy and I'm not wanting for anything else," he told co-hosts and former Bachelorette contestants Mike Johnson and Bryan Abasolo. "I wake up and the people that I'm surrounded with, those are the people I want to actively choose to be with and to continue to grow with and continue to surround myself with and what that leads to, we'll find out, but I'm enjoying every single second of it as we're going through it."

Thomas also reflected upon his time on Katie's season of The Bachelorette and the biggest lesson he learned from watching himself on TV. "You're not going to please everybody," he said. "One of the reasons why I think things went so sideways for me because I was running around trying to make everyone as happy as possible at all times and more often than not, if you're doing that, you're doing it at the sacrifice of yourself." Thomas continued to explain that he felt like he abandoned his unique character upon arriving to the show in order to better adapt to his surroundings. Though it didn't work in his favor, he "wouldn't change a damn thing because of the perspective that it gave." Moving forward, Thomas is proud that through the drama he stayed "levelheaded" and "showed respect" at all times, and will continue to share love with the guys in the media.

Bachelor in Paradise has a wild way of giving redemption to Bachelor Nation bad boys. For example, Nick Viall went from the franchise's number one villain to the leading man after one trip down to Paradise. Though Thomas has had a rocky start, it seems like he just might have found love, and if it doesn't work out, maybe the producers will grant his wish of leading the franchise.
