Bachelor In Paradise is one of the summer's favorite reality series. The show gets bachelors and bachelorettes from previous seasons together in a romantic atmosphere where anyone can fall in love. There have been tons of couples and marriages that have come out of this. A beautiful beginning for some of these summer couples who start their relationship in a five-star resort.

But some bachelors and bachelorettes aren't so lucky to walk away with their "happily-ever-after." There have been many who started off great and left Paradise with love in their hearts and hope in their eyes only to end up back where they started.

John Graham and Olivia Goethals

These two had an interesting relationship on-screen. They both left season five together but promised to work on bettering themselves for the relationship. This meant that they would remain a couple, but over long-distance. The relationship was short-lived after returning home and lasted about a month.

Goethals shared on the season five reunion that things were going well at first, but long-distance took a toll on Graham, who was new to that scene. Goethals returned with calling him out on flirting and "FaceTiming other girls," which was no surprise to the audience.

Taysha Adams and John Paul Jones

JPJ was a fan favorite in season six of Bachelor in Paradise. He fell pretty hard for costar Taysha Adams while in a Mexican paradise. The two hit it off when she showed signs of interest in him, and that just made JPJ fall even harder. Unfortunately, they live in other parts of the US, and for the relationship to last, he would need to move to Los Angeles.

JPJ ended up doing just that but in pursuit of an acting career. The two split up after three months of being together and Adams announced it on the podcast, Reality Life with Kate Casey.

Lace Morris and Grant Kemp

Lace Morris and Grant Kemp fell deeply in love in season three of Bachelor in Paradise, so much so that they got engaged. We got to see the chemistry between these two on-screen, and it showed that they were in love. Their engagement was no surprise in season three.

That flame burned out quickly. After only two months together, the couple decided to call off their engagement and split. So, what happened between the two? Well, Business Insider reports that in Ashley Iaconetti and Ben Higgins' podcast, The Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous, Morris revealed that her relationship with Kemp was "just lust." We can all agree lust is not the best base for a healthy relationship.

Samantha Steffen and Nick Peterson

The couple from season two left Bachelor in Paradise happy and in love. Unfortunately, they had to go their separate ways and back to their homes. They live on complete opposite sides of the country, Steffen in Los Angeles, CA while Peterson lives in Tampa, FL. Peterson posted on his Instagram a photo of them happy together, but with a sad caption: "rumor mill has it right this time. Samantha and I have decided the distance is too tough at this time. She's an amazing girl and I'm so thankful for the experience and time we had together! We'll absolutely remain friends."

It looks like the stress of a long-distance relationship between the two was too much as they broke up after only two months.

Demi Burnett and Kristian Taggerty

This couple made history in seasons six as the first same-sex couple to make it on Bachelor In Paradise. Kristian was brought out to Mexico, and it only seemed fitting that she came into the picture and got to enjoy paradise with her lover. We saw Demi drop down to one knee and propose to her in the show, so what happened behind the cameras?

They never moved in together and spent a lot of time apart. After only two months of being home, they both posted on Instagram matching posts, with the same caption announcing their breakup. It seems that this relationship came to an end after they moved too quickly in Paradise. At least they have received plenty of positive attention for being so brave!

Amanda Stanton and Josh Murray

These two love-birds were on screen in season three. Murray had proposed to her by the end of the season, and they seemed to leave very much in love. Stanton had to return to her two children in Southern California and Murray, a resident of Georgia, ended up moving in with them, reported by Enews.

It seemed that Murray's heart stayed in Georgia, as he constantly requested to move out there. This controlling type of behavior proved to be too toxic for Stanton, and she had enough. The couple had been together for four months when she finally left him and told him to move back to Georgia.

Katie Morton and Chris Bukowski

Morton and Bukowski found love in season six of Bachelor in Paradise. The romantic atmosphere of the Mexican beaches inspired love and they left happy. Their relationship lasted longer than the rest at six months.

They seemed happy when they left, so what happened over the six months? Bukowski posted on his Instagram the news of the breakup. "We've reached a point in our story where we agree it's best to go our separate ways. We are grateful for everything that we've learned in this chapter, and are hopeful for what is to come in life and in love with both of us."

Krystal Nielson and Chris Randone

The two met while in season five of Bachelor in Paradise. The two had left very much in love as they got engaged. They made it to the finish line, something so many of their costars have not done, and got married. But, after only eight months of marriage, the two announced the split.

They are still friends and care for each other, but mutually decided to focus on themselves. There were no words of "divorce" in the announcement, so perhaps they can get back together.

Taylor Nolan and Derek Peth

This couple fell in love in season four of Bachelor in Paradise. As one of the main couples on that season, they stole the hearts of fans. Everyone was excited when they got engaged. It really seemed like these two were made for each other. After the show, they had to get back to their normal lives, Peth moved to New York and Nolan remained in Seattle.

They did everything they could to keep the spark alive, but, after about a year together, it seemed like they had met their end. They ended on good terms and both are happy with the decision.

Marcus Grodd and Lacy Faddoul

This couple found love in the first season of Bachelor in Paradise and got married on screen for the beginning of season two. However, they never legally wed, and it was all for the cameras, though they had every intention of getting the paperwork finalized and becoming an officially licensed married couple.

What happened to the camera-wed couple? Grodd revealed that Faddoul just disappeared, "when we came back we were supposed to start the paperwork, but she stalled." It looks like the first couple to find love in Bachelor in Paradise lost the spark after a year.
