Season seven of Bachelor in Paradise officially has a premiere date and a few confirmed cast members. It's been almost two years since Bachelor Nation has seen a new season of the reality dating series due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Production was unable to film last summer due to travel restrictions, which forced them to push filming until 2021. Now that a new season is finally underway, viewers are excited to see who will appear and couple up in Mexico. Warning! Spoilers ahead.

The last season of BIP aired during the summer of 2019, and it was quite an interesting season. Viewers saw three engagements during the final episode, including one between the show's first same-sex couple Demi Burnett and Kristian Haggerty. However, only one of the three couples is still engaged to this day, Hannah Godwin and Dylan Barbour. Even though only one couple managed to stay together, there is still hope for the new couples this year.

On Wednesday, the Bachelor in Paradise Twitter account shared the poster for the upcoming season along with the premiere date. Season seven will premiere on August 16 at 8 p.m. EST on ABC, shortly after Katie Thurston's season of The Bachelorette comes to an end. The key art includes the shadow of a couple walking off into the distance along the beach with their bathing suits left behind. The caption on the poster reads, "Drop everything. It's back." Besides the premiere date, some cast members are already rumored to be on the show. Joe Park was confirmed by ABC executive Robert Mills in January after tweeting, "We've got ourselves a vaccinated Paradisian!!" The anesthesiologist received his second dose of the vaccine earlier this year due to his career in the medical field.

The Twitter account will be confirming cast members on Thursday, however, long-time Bachelor blogger, Reality Steve, has already established the cast himself. Former Bachelorette Becca Kufrin will allegedly make an appearance and reportedly develops a relationship with Thomas Jacobs, who was recently eliminated from Katie's season. However, the two break up before overnights. Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt are reportedly engaged and were also spotted getting cozy in his hometown of Chicago earlier this month. Noah Erb and Abigail Heringer also became a couple early on in the season but allegedly broke up right before overnight dates. Nonetheless, the pair have been quite flirty in each other's Instagram comments, so there is a chance these two may be dating post-show.

Now that Bachelor in Paradise has a premiere date, fans are excited to see who will couple up while in Mexico. Even though there are spoilers out there about the season, viewers cannot wait to see how everything unfolds. Hopefully, the couples this season can make it through the year together.
