Popular Bachelor in Paradise season 7 couple Mari Pepin and Kenny Braasch are celebrating the 1-year anniversary of their engagement. Mari, a 26-year-old marketing manager who moved to Maryland from Puerto Rico as a teenager, and Kenny, a 40-year-old talent buyer from Chicago who creates and manages boy band cover bands, were immediately drawn to each other when they met on the beach in Mexico last summer. After a rocky start, they realized that they were falling for each other, and their romance was passionate and intense. On the season finale, Kenny proposed to Mari, and she said yes.
Throughout the past year, the Bachelor in Paradise lovebirds have shared their lives through their Instagram accounts, documenting their relationship with sweet posts about each other. In March, they moved into an apartment together in Chicago. Mari recently shared that although they have not yet set a date, they plan to get married in Puerto Rico. The date of the wedding depends on whether or not Mari wins the Miss World Puerto Rico 2022 pageant, in which she is representing her hometown of Luquillo, Puerto Rico. If she wins, she cannot be married for the year that she holds the title, and they will have to wait. Otherwise, Mari said that they could get married right away.
In Instagram posts, Mari and Kenny celebrated the 1-year anniversary of their Bachelor in Paradise engagement. Mari shared a series of photographs of her and Kenny from a photoshoot that they did for wedding website The Knot. She also included a few still shots from the day that they got engaged in Mexico. Mari wrote, "365 days/w you." She went on to say, "HOW has it been a year already?! I guess time flies when you’re w the right person. Still feeling just as lucky and in love as the day we left @bachelorinparadise together. Happy First Anniversary, I love you! Here’s to many more."
Mari's love Kenny also shared an Instagram post, which included pictures from their Bachelor in Paradise engagement. The pictures included Kenny proposing on bended knee and the couple kissing while holding their final roses, among others. Kenny captioned them, "1 year ago today! Happy Anniversary @mari_pepin. Love You!" Mari responded by commenting, "Happy Anniversary babe. I love you always!!!" Both Mari and Kenny shared a series of black and white photographs on their Instagram stories, on which Mari wrote "one year of being your fiancée" and "I love you." The comments sections on both posts were filled with well wishes for the happy couple.
Mari and Kenny are one of the most beloved couples to come out of Bachelor in Paradise. Their relationship is sweet, supportive, and stable. They have a fun and flirty connection built on trust and loyalty. This will hopefully be the first of many anniversaries for Mari and Kenny as they continue to build their life together.
