Shanae Ankney has already had several flings on Bachelor In Paradise season 8 so far, and it is clear that her connection with Logan Palmer is stronger than her spark with James Bonsall. Shanae was a controversial contestant on The Bachelor season 26, while Logan was also a disputed contestant on The Bachelorette season 19. James, on the other hand, appeared on The Bachelorette season 17. Shanae and Logan hit it off instantly, with Shanae taking Logan on a date and receiving his rose. The next day, however, she agreed to go on a date with James as well.

While Shanae may have decided to give James a chance, Logan is a much more compatible match for her. When Logan and Shanae went on their BIP date, Logan pointed out that he and Shanae both had difficult experiences on their seasons. Shanae and Logan were both outcasts among their fellow contestants, and both were considered to be villains of their seasons. As a result of this, Shanae and Logan can understand each other in a complex way that the majority of other cast members on the beach could not.

Logan Seems More Interested In Shanae Than James Does

Shanae Ankney and James Bonsall on Bachelor in Paradise

While Logan is certainly more compatible with Shanae as opposed to James, he also appears to have a much stronger interest in her. During the rose ceremony, Logan told Shanae that he had been waiting to get to know her for some time, implying that he was interested in her even before the two officially met on the beach. On the other hand, James also seems interested in Shanae, but not to the same extent that Logan is.

Some fans felt that James asking Shanae on his double date with Aaron Clancy and Genevieve Parisi was staged, as Shanae and Genevieve had infamously went on a disastrous 2-on-1 date on Clayton's season. James was not shown pulling Shanae to have a conversation before asking her to go on the date, while Aaron was seen pulling Genevieve. Furthermore, Shanae actually seemed to be more interested in Aaron when he and James first came down to the beach, which caused many fans to be confused when she agreed to go with James.

On The Bachelor, Shanae was a villain, but she seems to be redeeming herself on Bachelor In Paradise. Logan also was one of the most disliked contestants on his first season, but surprisingly he seems to really care for Shanae. Shanae and Logan established a solid connection on their date and even became one of the more exclusive couples on the beach. On the other hand, Shanae and James' connection is not as strong and compatible.
