Kenny Braasch doesn't regret exploring his connection with Demi Burnett before getting engaged to Mari Pepin-Solis on the season finale of Bachelor In Paradise. Kenny and Mari were drawn to each other from the moment they met on the sandy beaches of Mexico. However, Mari got into her head and self-sabotaged their growing connection when she became frightened of her own strong feelings and asked Kenny if they could see other people. The conversation led to Kenny exploring a brief and sexual fling with Demi. He also went on a naked volleyball date with Tia Booth, but always found himself being pulled back to Mari.

After sitting on the sidelines with a broken heart for quite some time, Mari finally admitted her feelings for Kenny, and the duo become inseparable. Although Kenny, 40, was initially concerned about their 15-year age difference, Mari assured him that she's more mature than the majority of women her age and she's more than ready to commit to a lifetime together. Fast forward a few weeks and the two got engaged in the season 7 finale, and have already begun wedding planning. Though they haven't set a wedding date, Mari is about to move to Kenny's hometown of Chicago, where he works as a talent buyer and creates and manages boy bands. Additionally, Kenny agreed to celebrate their love in Puerto Rico, which is where Mari is from.

Looking back at their time on Bachelor In Paradise, Kenny told People that he believes his brief split with Mari this season ultimately brought them closer together. "I don't have any regrets," Kenny said. "There were a lot of things going on, but at the end of the day, everything that happened put us where we are right now. So, it's all good." Kenny continued to explain that it was basically love at first sight when he, barely clothed at the time, saw Mari on the beach, and he even had a gut feeling that they would leave engaged. As for Mari's part, she believes their similar perspectives on life, similar habits, and similar interests makes their relationship work despite the large age gap that Kenny once feared. "I think the only way that it's noticeable is when we talk about movies or music, because [we're] obviously [from] different generations," she said.

After Kenny proposed to Mari with an oval-shaped diamond ring surrounded by 42 round-cut diamonds, designed by franchise jeweler Neil Lane, the duo broke the rules and managed to sneakily go out to a concert together before their engagement was public. "We saw Journey here in Chicago," Mari said. "We weren't supposed to, but we didn't get caught. We both wore hats. I wore a pair of glasses, and it was really late at night, so it worked out." Now that the season is no longer airing, the couple are just excited to go outside and walk around together.

It's always interesting to see how Bachelor In Paradise has a much larger success rate than The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. It seems like Kenny and Mari truly found love, and the fact that they're already wedding planning sounds promising for an everlasting life together. The question remains which engaged couple will marry in front of the next generation of Bachelor In Paradise contestants.
