Newly engaged Bachelor In Paradise stars Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt may have only known each other a few weeks before their proposal, but they are familiar enough with one another to reveal each other's odd habits. The two hit it off at the very beginning of Paradise, spending most of their days together. As they move their relationship into the real world, they are getting to know each other even better.

On the first day in Mexico, Joe expressed interest in meeting Serena. When the season began, Joe became nervous and wondered if he should leave, revealing he felt emotions from his last time out in Paradise. He hit it off with Serena and soon they were one of the most solid couples, spending their days getting to know each other. They exchanged roses throughout the weeks, falling more in love as the days passed. Their relationship was free of drama, and their open communication was refreshing. Even the arrival of Joe's ex-girlfriend, Kendall Long, did not shake the couple's devotion to each other. Joe had no doubts about Serena, and Kendall eventually left. Joe and Serena were so happy to admit that they were falling in love with each other. He proposed to her on the last day of Paradise. She said yes, and they left together, looking forward to their future.

As they moved their relationship into the real world, Joe and Serena are getting to know each others quirks even more. In an interview with BachelorNation.com, they revealed each other's strangest habits. Serena discovered that Joe is "petrified of salmonella poisoning, so he always overcooks the chicken because he’s terrified that it’s going to be undercooked and that we’re going to get salmonella." She also teased him about his wardrobe, which fans have noticed consists of the infamous socks with sandals. She joked, "What you saw on the beach is his entire closet. Gym shorts and so many T-shirts, but we’re trying to refrain from the socks and sandals. We’re working on that."

When asked about Serena, Joe responded by explaining that her bad habit is that she doesn't pay attention when she's driving. He said, "Serena is an awful driver. I mean to the point where it’s actually scary. I’ll be like, ‘Do you realize what’s happening on the road?’ And she’ll be like, 'Nah, not really.'" Serena agreed with Joe, but noted, "I’m not gonna fight you on that, it’s true! But I’ve never been in an accident and I’ve never gotten a ticket!" Joe also pointed out that when they order dinner, Serena always makes a snack to eat while they wait for the food. Serena laughed, explaining, "I do! I get excited for the food and I get hungry, so I need a pre-dinner meal."

Joe and Serena's easy, playful relationship is easy to see through their discussion of their bad habits, which really don't bother each other at all. Their ability to laugh at each other and not take life so seriously is one of the reasons their relationship worked so well on Bachelor In Paradise in the first place. This will help them navigate through life together. One thing is certain: Serena will be making appetizers while waiting for Joe to (over)cook the chicken.
