As the summer continues in Bachelor In Paradise season 7, co-stars Jessenia Cruz and Tammy Ly share their support of Demi Burnett, despite her involvement in drama. While a number of couples have started making solid connections down on the beaches of Sayulita, Mexico, others have struggled to find their perfect match, leading to a number of heartbreaking goodbyes from popular Bachelor Nation figures. Even with a handful of promising couples, the season is still uncertain, with many contestants lost and unsure about their place in paradise.

Known for its carefree, somewhat reckless romantic encounters, Bachelor In Paradise continues to both entertain and endear fans of the franchise. As the season continues, scandal has surrounded the series, including Kenny Braasch's questionable nudity, Victoria Paul's rumored boyfriend outside of the show, as well as Joe Amabile's ongoing turmoil with Kendall Long. While the forecast predicts sunny skies and beautiful weather, the cast of Bachelor In Paradise is in for quite the opposite, each contestant fighting for love with all of their might, whether that means seducing another cast member's significant other or throwing birthday cakes into bonfires.

First released by Us Weekly, Jessenia and Tammy candidly shared their opinions on Demi, supporting her throughout the controversy of season 7. Tammy was the first to weigh in on Demi's behavior on BIP, stating, "I love Demi through and through. She's such a spitfire...I don't think there's anything too dramatic [or] too firey about her. She's perfect." While Mari Pepin may have negative feelings towards Demi, Jessenia sided with Tammy when it comes to Demi, claiming, "Demi just knows what she wants. And I think people who don't really know Demi don't know that she definitely goes for what she wants."

With divergent opinions, Demi continues to be a point of tension amongst the cast, some offended by her and others embracing her boldness throughout season 7. While much of the interview focused on Demi's behavior on the latest season of Bachelor In Paradise, the conversation took a detour to Brendan Morais' encounters with Demi early on in the season. Jessenia bluntly shared her disapproval of Brendan, continuing to side with Demi, "There's something there that [Brendan] is not quite opening up about...I would just assume the worst." Brendan, a beloved contestant on Tayshia Adam's season, has become a questionable character on the season, especially after his on-air bad blood with Demi, ending with her in tears after he shared his desire to "explore other options." Some found it surprising that Brendan was under fire from the cast because of his casual attitude about the experience, rather than Demi who was caught in a number of compromising situations involving breakups and even the infamous boom boom room.

As the season reaches its climax, the cast and audience alike are divided over the outcome of the series so far. Even though Demi may appear as the victim of the season in many ways, the drama surrounding her time on Bachelor In Paradise is far from over. With backlash surrounding Demi's inappropriate comments about Colton Underwood, Demi continues to lead the season's drama. With only a handful of episodes left until the season finale, viewers can prepare to watch more arguments unfold, plenty of new appearances, and a series of celebrity judges.
