Congratulations are in order for Derek Peth from Bachelor in Paradise, as he announced last night that he proposed to his girlfriend Saffron Vadher, who happily accepted.
Reality TV fans were first introduced to Derek when he competed for JoJo Fletcher's heart during The Bachelorette season 12. He later appeared on Bachelor in Paradise season 4, where he and Taylor Nolan got engaged during the taping of the series aftershow. However, the couple never made it down the aisle, and split less than a year later. Derek then appeared on Bachelor in Paradise season 6, where he had short-lived romances with Demi Burnett and current Bachelorette, Tayshia Adams. It may have taken some time, but Derek Peth finally found someone to give his final rose to.
US Weekly has revealed that Derek is engaged to model girlfriend, Saffron. At around midnight on Monday morning, Derek, 33, tweeted, “She said yes!!!”. Just minutes later, Derek shared an Instagram story of him and the British model outside. In the story, she held her hand up to showcase the beautiful diamond engagement ring. The news comes shortly after the Bachelor in Paradise alum asked his fans (via Twitter) to send him recommendations for a mix CD he was planning on putting together for her. He asked his followers to send him the best romantic songs they could think of. The mix CD seemed to have worked, as Saffron looked more than happy to be engaged in the Instagram Story. Many friends from Bachelor Nation took to social media to congratulate Derek Peth and his wife-to-be. Wells Adam (BIP bartender and former Bachelorette contestant) and his fiancé, Modern Family actress Sarah Hyland, were among some of the first to congratulate Derek on his proposal. Wells shared on his Instagram Stories, “This makes me very happy. Well done @pethderek! He added, Welcome to the family @saffron!! Sarah posted, These cuties are gonna get MARRIED!!!!!!! Congratulations @pethderek & @saffron.” The engagement may come as a shock to many, as Derek only went public with Saffron in March. They were quarantining together amid the coronavirus pandemic. The former reality celeb has been sharing many Instagram pictures of he and Sarah, and even some cute videos of the two of them. Saffron has also been posting cute TikTok videos of her and Derek, showing fans a glimpse of their sweet and funny relationship.
Derek from Bachelor in Paradise and Saffron seem to be very in love and their fans want nothing but the best for these two love birds, Congratulations to the happy couple!
