After fighting for Bachelor Peter Weber’s heart on season 24, Deandra Kanu is ready to give love another chance this summer on Season 7 of Bachelor In Paradise. Deandra was a stand-out contestant during her time on The Bachelor, so it is only predicted that she will stand out on the beaches of Mexico as well. She is excited to take everything that she has learned from her last appearance in the Bachelor franchise and use that to help her find love this time around. She may not have won Peter’s final rose, but she is not giving up on love.
The 25-year-old Texas native is known for her first impression appearance where she greeted Peter dressed as a windmill, a reference to his time on Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette. First impressions are an important part of the experience, and the comedy of Deandra’s first impression certainly made her stand out among the other women. While her exit from the limo was certainly one of a kind, she still got eliminated during week 4. She was also known for being expressive and having very telling facial expressions on the show.
Before becoming a TV personality, Deandra worked as a home coordinator and she uploads videos to her YouTube channel where she talks about health, lifestyle and beauty. Deandra was born in Texas, but she grew up in Maine. She has spent most of her life in Nigeria, where her father was born, but moved back to Texas to obtain a college degree. She earned her bachelor’s degree in communications and minored in business during her time at the University of Texas.
Deandra has a close relationship with her family and is one of 10 siblings. She loves to spend the holidays with her family, and is looking forward to finding someone to bring to her family’s extravagant holiday celebrations. Being a part of a large family, she has mastered the ability to stand out among others. Deandra has been noted to be intelligent, independent, and not afraid to be herself, which has been seen during her time on The Bachelor, and viewers will be sure to see during Bachelor In Paradise.
During her time in Mexico for Bachelor In Paradise, she is looking for a confident man who will approach her and make it known that he is interested in her. She loves to talk and connect with other people, but she needs to know that the man she is connecting with is interested in her and confident in their connection. Deandra notes that she is confident in herself and she knows the kind of love that she wants and deserves. She has taken the time to really think about what she wants in a man, so she is ready to go out and find it.
Deandra is ready to continue her journey to love on Bachelor In Paradise this season, which the teaser showed was going to be filled with love and drama. Along with other former Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants, Deandra has been given a second chance to find love and although it has started off rough, since she it appears she is currently Karl, there is hope for her yet. She is hoping to leave Mexico in love and potentially with an engagement ring on her finger.
