Dean Unglert revealed that producers wanted him to propose to girlfriend Caelynn Miller-Keyes during their upcoming cameo on season 7 of Bachelor in Paradise. Viewers saw Dean and Caelynn's relationship blossom during season 6 of BIP. Dean initially left Paradise after telling Caelynn he didn't feel ready for a serious commitment. However, he later returned and asked Caelynn to leave the show with him. She agreed, and the couple continued their relationship outside of Mexico.
Since meeting for the first time in 2019, Dean and Caelynn have traveled the country by van, visited different parts of the world, adopted a dog, and bought their first home together. While the couple is not engaged, they are one of the more successful couples to come out of The Bachelor spin-off. In season 7, Dean and Caelynn returned to Paradise for a cameo on the October 6 episode. However, Dean recently revealed that producers had more in mind for the couple's appearance than a friendly visit with the cast.
During the latest episode of his podcast, Help! I Suck At Dating, with cohost Jared Haibon, the reality star revealed the show's producers wanted him to propose. "I think I can share this. I don't see why I wouldn't be able to," the 30-year-old said. Dean added that the producers pulled him aside and said, "Hey Dean, you should totally propose to Caelynn on the last day of the show." Dean was, of course, in shock and replied, "Are you serious? You're telling me this, like, literally the day before we're supposed to go down and film this episode?'"
When Dean made his revelation, he and Jared were discussing Clare Crawley and Dale Moss and their rushed engagement. Dean claimed producers aren't "bashful" about trying to "encourage people to propose." Still, Dean didn't reveal whether he took the producers up on their idea and instead teased that fans should watch the episode to find out. "You might see it, you might see something else, who knows?" Dean said. "All I know is it's going to be good television."'
Two years have passed since Dean and Caelynn first met on BIP, and the couple is stronger than ever. They even wear commitment rings to show how devoted they are to their relationship. In June, the couple celebrated their second anniversary. They also took a trip to Italy together last month. It's obvious Dean and Caelynn don't need an engagement ring to prove their love for each other.
