Connor Brennan from Bachelor in Paradise is addressing viewers who believe he is only on the show to further his music career. After a failed attempt at love on The Bachelorette, Connor thought he'd try his luck on BIP. Connor headed down to Mexico for week one of season 7, and so far, he has made a connection with Maurissa Gunn. However, she went on a date with Riley Christian, with whom she may have developed a closer connection. It seems love might not be in cards for Connor once again.

Fans first met Connor when he stepped out of the limo on night one of Katie Thurston's season of The Bachelorette. He was wearing a full catsuit with whiskers drawn onto his face. Connor's reasoning behind this choice wasn't out of the blue. He knew cats were Katie's favorite animal and decided to dress like one. She loved the catsuit idea, which made Connor a top contender. Even though he received a kiss on night one, Connor didn't get the first impression rose and was sent home a few short weeks later.

The math teacher and his guitar-playing skills have received quite a bit of screen time this season, and fans are starting to believe he may not be on the show for love. Connor, who defended Greg amid Katie's gaslight post, took offense to that and decided to take his thoughts on the matter to Twitter. "He’s there for his music’ ‘enough with the uke’ ‘ugh he’s cringey and annoying’ – f—k OFF and let me play my dumb little songs for people; it’s my way to try and bring a little joy. kindness is free #BachelorInParadise," Connor wrote in response to the haters on Thursday. Funnily enough, one of his biggest adversaries is one of the many celebrity hosts this season, Lance Bass.

The former N'SYNC star said on a recent episode of The Viall Files podcast hosted by Nick Viall, "I’m not convinced he’s there to find love. I definitely see him on there trying to start his country career." Nick, who believes Joe is getting The Bachelor edit, has many guests on his podcasts to open up about things they might not have the time to express with other outlets. The singer went on to tell the former Bachelor how when BIP started filming, the guys from Katie's season had yet to see any of the episodes. When Lance was talking about it with a few of the guys, Connor asked Lance, "‘Wait, did my song make it? Did my song make it?’" Lance felt like Connor only cared about his song making it into the show and nothing else. Judging by Connor's tweet, he plays his guitar to bring joy to the audience and not to pursue any type of music career.

While it may seem as though Connor is trying to pursue a music career through the ABC franchise, he adamantly denies that claim. Connor was purely playing his guitar because it's a hobby that he loves. Even if the rumors were true, this would not be the first time a contestant came on the show to boost their music career. And since Connor certainly seems like the most likable guy to attempt to do so, he should have the support of Bachelor Nation no matter what.
