Fans of Bachelor in Paradise have slammed Brendan Morais after he posted a lengthy video on Instagram where he apologized to Natasha Parker. Brendan has been the focus of most of the show's fans following the events of the September 6 episode. In that episode, Pieper James arrived in Paradise and asked Brendan out on a date, which he accepted. Later in that episode, it became clear that Brendan had been lying to Natasha, whom he had gotten close to, about being in a relationship with Pieper. However, events at his and Pieper's date and from his and Natasha's conversation afterward showed he was playing the latter and being dishonest.

After the September 6 episode, many fans reacted to Brendan's actions by unfollowing him in their numbers on Instagram. Brendan apologized to fans after losing thousands of his followers. He also apologized to Natasha and acknowledged the error of his ways. In his first apology, the BiP star promised to release a full statement. Last Thursday, Brendan shared an intimate apology directed to Natasha via his Instagram account. In a lengthy and earnest video, he said he never wanted to hurt Natasha and never wanted to lead her on. He added that he enjoyed spending time with her and corrected himself for cruelly saying she had zero prospects on this season of BiP. However, he seemed to be underwhelming in his delivery and tagged the accusations against him as "ironic and silly."

BiP fans have now reacted to Brendan's video post and apology to Natasha on the reality television series' Reddit channel. One of the fans said, "To me the worst thing that he said, which was not addressed here at all, was the “zero prospects” thing (which he said MULTIPLE TIMES). He’s addressing all the wrong things here, probably intentionally." Another Redditor said Brendan did not make a good apology because he kept giving excuses for his actions rather than just owning up to them and stopping at that. A third fan said Brendan sounded like he was forced to say sorry and did not seem to be legitimately remorseful for his actions. Another person said Brendan is not sorry for the way he acted but is only sorry he was caught in the act and is now trying to look good in the eyes of the fans.

One fan, angered by Brendan's apology, said it had many holes and deflections. The fan noted Brendan kept bringing up that he and Pieper were not exclusive before Paradise. The fan wondered what difference that makes because no one cares if he and Pieper were exclusive, business casual, or somewhere between. The fan said, "The point is however they defined their relationship, he was waiting for Pieper to arrive and was using Natasha as a placeholder until that happened. He’s just playing word games." The fan noted Brendan did not address Pieper calling him her boyfriend within hours of arriving in Paradise and wished and advised the reality TV star to make a proper apology.

From the fans' reactions, it is obvious Brendan has irked more people in his quest to show he is sorry for his actions. He needs to go back to the drawing board and come forward with a proper apology that is sincere rather than trying to make excuses for acting the way he did. If Brendan continues acting this way, there is a high chance he will lose more fans in the coming days as more people get angry over his behavior and poor attempts at apologizing. Bachelor in Paradise fans are already fed up with his attitude, and he needs to do more than this to win back their love. As things stand, he is miles away from doing that.
