Bachelor In Paradise alum Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon showed off their newborn baby Dawson in the couple's latest interview. Ashley and Jared didn't have the easiest experience on The Bachelor, and it took a lot of work for the couple to make it to where they are today. They first met on Bachelor In Paradise season 2, and for Ashley, it was love at first sight. Though the couple didn't make it to the end, they did remain friends. Ashley has since been very candid, even teasing her husband, about how he seemingly led her on in the time between Bachelor In Paradise seasons 2 and 3. The couple hung out constantly before season 3, and Ashley was convinced during the season that Jared would finally make it official. Unfortunately for her, he did not. Instead, Ashley was part of a love triangle and became infamous for the number of tears she shed in Mexico.
It wasn't until 2018, a whole two years after Bachelor In Paradise season 3 was filmed, that Jared realized he had feelings for Ashley. The couple had been finishing up a trip with some other friends, and Ashley was at the airport on her way out when Jared surprised her with a kiss. While Ashley was in another relationship at the time, she swiftly broke it off as she always knew Jared was the one. A year later, Ashley and Jared officially wed, and now they're introducing the world to their newborn son.
Ashley and Jared's son, Dawson, recently made his big TV debut snuggled in his dad's arms. In an interview with E! News, Ashley and Jared opened up about parenthood. "It's honestly better [than I imagined]. It's easier. Is that bad to say?" Ashley laughed. They admitted that their son isn't like most babies and barely even cries, adding, "He truly just eats, sleeps and poops right now." Throughout the entirety of the interview, Dawson, named after Jack Dawson from Titanic, never even made a peep. The little lad just sucked on a pacifier, blissfully asleep.
The couple also spoke about living away from each other during the last trimester as Jared remained in their Rhode Island home while Ashley was in Virginia. "My dad's an anesthesiologist, and he's been at this hospital for 30 years. And I was just like, where's a place that I will be babied, and I will 1,000% get the epidural?" Ashley joked. Meanwhile, Jared had to stay at their home because just a month prior to Dawson's birth, the couple opened up a coffee shop in Rhode Island. Ashley and Jared moved from Los Angeles back to the East Coast in 2021 so they could be closer to their families. "So now that we have an addition to our family and we are closer to our parents and siblings and cousins, there's no other place I would rather be than near family," Jared added.
Ashley and Jared's story on Bachelor In Paradise has become synonymous with success, and looking at their lives right now, it's easy to see why. Even if they didn't find love immediately in Bachelor In Paradise season 2, they found it eventually. The couple frequently appears on the franchise to showcase what can happen when this process goes right, and they seem to be grateful to Bachelor In Paradise even to this day. It's like Ashley said: "[Dawson] wouldn't be here if it weren't for [the franchise]."
