Aaron Clancy is the latest Bachelor In Paradise star to issue an apology on social media after having an altercation with another contestant on the show. The 26-year-old, who first appeared on The Bachelorette to vie for Katie Thurston's heart, has been dubbed by fans the "union leader" of the franchise for his track record in identifying individuals like Thomas Jacobs, who he feels are problematic. However, after blowing up at a certain co-star who tried to steal his love interest, Aaron is recognizing his "crazy antics" while simultaneously calling for more honesty among the group.

During the recent 3-hour episode of Paradise, Aaron was nearly ready to fight Ivan Hall, with whom he previously got along well. With a dreaded rose ceremony on the horizon, a very-single Ivan promised Aaron that he would wait for a new arrival rather than interject himself into an established relationship. Mere minutes later, Ivan pulled Aaron's girl Chelsea Vaughn aside and kissed her, in perfect view of the entire cast. Aaron, backed by his bestie James Bonsall, angrily cornered Ivan, who insisted Chelsea initiated the conversation and kiss. This was a blatant lie. Still, Aaron's outburst didn't sit too well with many contestants, who felt he overreacted.

On the heels of the episode, Aaron took to his Instagram Story to address the heated moment. "First off, no one's ever completely right in a situation. I know I can be dramatic. I know I can be extra. I apologized then, I apologize now for my crazy antics," he said. "You guys are kind of used to it now, but I apologize nonetheless." Aaron went on to explain how important honesty is to him and how dishonest people frustrate him. "But other than that, thank you for the love. We're all doing fine. I'm happy, healthy, gonna get a pizza later, just decided right now." A video posted later in the day showed that Aaron stayed true to his words and got himself a pizza.

Based on Aaron's statement, it seems he regrets getting so fired up in the moment, but stands by his decision to call Ivan out on his lie. In fact, Ivan lied to the entire beach when he informed everyone that Chelsea approached him. This shocked viewers, who have held Ivan in high regard since his appearance on Clare Crawley and Tayshia Adams' season of The Bachelorette. It's possible that his "good guy" persona was false, similar to Brendan Morais, who fell from grace after using Natasha Parker. It's also possible he was simply desperate for a connection and didn't care who he hurt to land another rose.

The latest episode saw Ivan eliminated for secretly visiting unannounced contestant Alexa Cavez during the cast's brief hotel stay because of a storm. With Ivan out of the way, it appeared Aaron and Chelsea could continue their blossoming romance drama-free. Yet Aaron pulled a surprising move at the Paradise prom - kissing Tia Booth and giving her a corsage. Maybe Aaron wanted to get back at Chelsea for kissing Ivan back, or maybe he just wanted to test the waters with someone new, who was previously in a love triangle with James and Blake Monar. Regardless, thanks to his hilarious personality and giant smile, Aaron is a favorite among fans, who want to see him find his perfect match.
