Bachelor in Paradise alumni Nick Viall fueled negative rumors on his podcast about former co-star Carly Waddell. He stated on his podcast that she has a bad reputation, saying that she's "no saint."

Carly and Evan Bass had a pretty unconventional love story. He had a crush on her immediately when they arrived for BIP season 3. She wasn't feeling it and attempted to friend-zone him. He felt butterflies when they kissed and she initially thought they had no chemistry. Then, Evan had a medical issue, an ambulance picked him up, Carly hopped in, and she accompanied him to the hospital. That is where they finally connected and got on the same page. After Carly's initial resistance, she was all in with Evan. He popped the question at the end of the season. They had a televised wedding a year later. After, they welcomed a daughter and a son to the family. Evan already had three sons from a previous relationship. While Evan had faith in their romance from the start of their Bachelor in Paradise season, Carly and many viewers just didn't see it happening. However, they appear to be going strong ever since. They broke the mold for Bachelor relationships and showed viewers that it's really not that easy to predict which pairings will actually say together.

During a recent episode of Bachelor alum Nick Viall's podcast The Viall FilesEntertainment Tonight correspondent and Chris Harrison's girlfriend Lauren Zima shared her opinions on the couples from The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart. Lauren compared Sheridan Reed and Julia Rae to Carly and Evan. She remarked, "As much as Julia truly incensed me this episode, I was kind of wondering 'are they like a Carly and Evan.'' She wondered if Julia will see that "he's just such a genuine guy that maybe she will realize what she has right in front of her." Nick had no response to this, so Lauren continued with the comparison.

Then, Lauren backtracked when she commented, "Carly seems to be a much better person because she was not a villain. Julia's the secret villain." Nick stumbled on his words before he told her, "She might be the villain, but I don't like suggesting that we know who Julia is as a person. Carly is no saint and I've lots of rumors about other things." Lauren was very shocked by Nick's sudden shade. But, apparently, whatever Nick was referring to is a known thing. He rhetorically asked her, "Have you not heard this stuff?" She was completely unfamiliar, and, unfortunately, he didn't provide any further details.

While Nick didn't want to judge Julia based on how she seemed on TV, he does actually know Carly in real life. He was also a cast member on the Bachelor in Paradise season where Carly and Evan got together. These three got along so well that the couple initially wanted Nick to officiate their wedding. However, that didn't end up happening since Chris Harrison is the go-to officiant for Bachelor Nation weddings. Nick did attend the wedding though, with then-fiancé Vanessa Grimaldi by his side. What changed? Will Carly and/or Evan speak out in response to Nick's shade? Will Nick publicly elaborate on why he believes Carly is "no saint"?
