Star of The Bachelor Matt James and fellow Bachelor Nation alum Tyler Cameron were caught by fans partying for the Super Bowl over the weekend. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, they were seen drinking inside a crowded club in Tampa, Florida. The two currently live together in a New York City apartment. They have been friends for quite some time now, first meeting during their college days.
While it is typically uncommon that a Bachelor lead has never been part of the franchise in the past, Matt James is learning the ins and outs of the dating show alongside all the first-time ladies competing to win over his heart this season. Leading up to his first time joining the Bachelor franchise, Matt received some advice and support from his good friend, Tyler Cameron, who has also been on the franchise in the past. As the two first met in college and have now both joined the Bachelor family, they share the same circle of friends. Just recently, one of Tyler's friends was caught body-shaming "Queen" Victoria Larson, one of the show's bullies from Matt's season.
Now, Bachelor fans are not too happy with roommate duo Matt James and Tyler Cameron. The two were spotted partying at a club in Tampa over the weekend in celebration of the Super Bowl. Videos of Matt and Tyler at the club surfaced on Reddit, leaving fans completely infuriated. The discussion thread, which received nearly 900 comments and counting, scolded the Bachelor alums for being "selfish" during a time of crisis throughout the world. In the videos, Matt and Tyler were seen having a good time with drinks in hand at a very crowded club. Despite their "problematic" actions, Matt is portrayed as a perfect "good guy" on the show. In reality, both Matt and Tyler exhibit "frat boy behavior." Some fans even began to think that Victoria may actually be a good match for Matt, as she, too, was bashed for partying during the pandemic.
While social media users are referring to them as "covidiots," Matt and Tyler are not the only ones under fire for ignoring safety guidelines. Kelley Flanagan and Peter Weber recently reunited inside a club after breaking up back in December. It is unknown if Kelley and Peter were spotted at the same club as Matt and Tyler. Fans want all of them to face consequences for their "sickening" behaviors. Many want all their social media followers to unfollow their accounts, while others are considering not watching the rest of Matt's season, and possibly quitting the franchise altogether. Some users claimed Matt James actually blocked them on social media for tagging him in these videos. Without repercussions to their actions, Matt and Tyler will continue to feel as though they are "untouchable." Neither Matt nor Tyler were seen wearing a mask in the videos.
The once-perceived good guy Matt James may not be as much of a perfect package as Bachelor fans once thought. Neither Matt nor Tyler have made any comments regarding their weekend of partying.
